  • Removing The UGLIEST Part on the Harley Sportster Iron 1200!! As we continue the process of transforming my Harley Sportster into a bobber, I am finally removing the ugly headlight section of the bike! I will remove the ugly bolt and headlight brow and replace it with a different Sportster Headlight Bracket.

    Looks super killer!
    You can loosen that chrome ring and rotate it 180 and put the clamp at the 6:00 location so it’s not right at the top

    You can paint that trim ring around the headlight with black spray paint and a clear coat since a gloss black trim ring from Harley is around $150 USD.

      Yeah the harley one is way over priced. Insane

    I just got Cobra El Diablo 2into1 for mine and even without the tuner it sounds so good. I'll keep you updated once I get it tuned correctly, but I just got it and it's so much better in person than it is in videos. (20 iron 1200)

      That's a good one for sure 👌

      @@TheMotoJawn I've been waiting for years and the price just kept going up . They are pricey but worth it.

    In my opinionated view,
    Air filter cover should go back on. That stamped aluminum looks worse. Your filter also needs a cleaning and recharge. Looks really dry.
    I ditched my front fender after the last video.
    Headlight is now upside down and you want the screw on the beauty ring facing down.
    Hope to meet you this summer. My bike is almost together. Still trying to figure out the chain tension/ wheel alignment thing. I’m definitely riding this year.
    I really like my V & H 2-1 Competition but it’s not sold anymore. Not sure what I would put on if this needed to be replaced.

      Yeah I had to flip the headlight only way to mount to that bracket. I'll have to rotate the trim ring down to the bottom

    I think you have to turn the headlight, i think there is a marker on the glass.

      What do you mean? Like flip it?

      @@TheMotoJawn Because you turn it upside down the light can blind oncoming drivers.Best thing to check it out in the dark a few meters away from a wall and look at the light patern on the wall.
      With H4 headlights i know for sure you cant turn them upside down, with LED i am not sure.

      @TheMotoJawn  Před 2 měsíci

      @FikkieSteker yeah I see what you mean. This light only has a screw option on one side so I had to flip it. We'll see how it goes

    You might need to flip the light like I had to. You light is upside down now.

      I had to flip it to mount it

      @RogerBankerFishmiser Před 2 měsíci

      @@TheMotoJawn I mean the actual light, I have the same bracket. Since it has to be mounted upside down the light is now upside down. That (in my case) made it impossible to adjust the angle of the beam. Until I took the light out of the housing and flipped it over too.

    I think the iron 1200 looks better than the street bob. I have a 21 iron matte black with green.. and is a head turner. Nothing like a sportster

    Do a speedo relocation to clean the top. You could add a headlight grille. Also, change the front signal light for a smaller one. Lowbrow customs have a headlight bracket. Check out dk custom they pretty cool stuff.

      @aucklandsadventures Před 2 měsíci

      The RSD relocation is the only one I’ve seen that looks good. It’s hella expensive like all other RSD parts though.

    I got a lot of stuff for my Iron 1200 from boneyard garage in the England. Side mounted coil, speedo and number plate. They do a headlight mount too. The angle of yours troubles me bro. Plus, did you turn the lamp by 180? It won’t make any difference to the angle but you’ll blind less people. I’ll dm you a pic of the mount on Insta.

      Yeah it's kind of pointing up I might have to bend it down. Flipping it was the only way to make it work
