When Gaming Merchant is refusing to buy half of an apex event, there’s a problem
And money wise that is like 25% of the event as the other packs are the most expensive.
Yep, you really don't expect that from someone with all heirlooms and 750 extra shards just sitting there unused. Respawn are so messed in the head to make such "events", you can't buy individual skins and there are 300 purple fillers (ugly stickers, banner frames).
Good thing is, i don't see as many people willing to buy it as there were with the Final Fantasy event which is good. If it flops we're less likely to see such bullsh&t often.
@@Divinity_vA look, F2P. They dont make any money off me and you playing. They have to pay for it ontop to have me and you on their Server. They basically Hand out a free battlepass. Core + pass is free(* once u saved enough or bought it) and now look, we all demand alot like good Servers good matchmaking New events the people demand that. These have to be evolved and implemented. Bro, me as a dev i cost MINIMUM 120 an HOUR to work for you. I have collegues that go with 270 PER HOUR, do you know what respawn has to pay to make their devs do the work? The game System is like respawn is investing constantly to give you something for free. I mean, they just didnt made enough to solve issues to pay everyone fair to pay debts off the project and Bills that you Stack before people even bought a item. I know millions of sales volume does Sound nice but at this numbers.. what do you think what the gov does? Just be like huaaa they make Millions i absolutely dont want my piece off that? Yeah there are laws that make it illegal for videogames to have that random aspect, they are forced to make everything available in some way. ThatPunchKidLIVE was actually talking about it in one of his recent videos that countries should just all start doing this because it’s kinda dumb that you spend a bunch of money on stuff in this game to rely on random chance…

The real tragedy of this event is not being able to buy the skins separately. We have to gamble for them. I want pretty much every character skin and this is the first time I’ve been able to say that. But you may have to spend 200$ to not even get all the skins you want. It’s a waste of our money and the devs time
W merchant, I’m so mad I’m seeing people buying this event when probably the most scummy thing apex has done ever, and that’s saying a lot because of how bad the bloodhound heirloom event was

It’s getting to a point where they want people to spend $500 to $700 every season with these collection events and also other collection events through the season imagine you’re someone who gets every collection event even this one when they have about four or five or even three it feels like you’re spending at least $500 which is insane

@@SeanHogan_frijole yeah cause it was a crossover. Final fantasy is a big deal to a lot of people and to have the buster sword as an heirloom is cool as hell. This original heirloom idea being used in this format isn’t smart. It doesn’t have any lore of connections or “life” to it like all of the other heirlooms or the buster sword

Pathfinders heirloom has literally 1 animation, where's the update🤌
Same as bloodhound, whose heirloom recolor got scrapped (well, according to leakers). So far the old heirlooms get new animations when they get a heirloom recolor such as wraith and octane (since crypto and revenant's heirlooms are relatively newer they dont get new animations i guess)

It might've been worth it if it was the same price as a normal heirloom event.
I would be happy if these universal heirloom events happened more rarely and for the same price range as a normal hierloom event and ACTUALLY FELT UNIVERSAL.
People have been waiting for their legend main to get their own unique heirlooms for years, and it almost feels like 2 universal ones in a ROW, for such an insane price as well- is almost an insult to them.
(We dont count the octane recolor incident)
I hope at the very least that since they have 5 recolors planned for this heirloom that they continue to add new animations each and everytime.
I enjoy this heirloom more than loba heirloom but I do miss hitting doors with her black market. I think at the very least going forward they should let you buy the skin you want

I also crafted the entire final fantasy event because the idea of having an heirloom for all legends was great but the price dude... I am not going to spend 360$ on cosmetics!

I’ve been saying for over a year that I’ll stop playing once heirlooms become obselete, seems like we’re heading there; due to the fact that I think they’re the coolest single item in a single video game. Haven’t played every game ever but decent amount of different kinds.
Btw buster sword is way better than this. I just wish they would’ve waited closer to 6-12 months for the next universal one

they should just make universal melee weapons, not "heirlooms" and have them a lot, lot cheaper... they could literally do something simple like a katana and i'm sure loads of people will buy it
they got my $2 cause that’s a steal if you get lucky in the 3-4 “free” packs, but i did in fact get robbed so far, might’ve bought a legendary or 2 if i could buy them seperate from the gambling system
Speculating on the next legend, coming up with predictions on what type of weapon based on said legend, and the slow buildup of hype before dataminers finally uncovered the first glimpse of a new legend's Heirloom was easily the biggest hype factor for me in Apex. Probably what kept me around in the beginning if I'm being honest, since Rampart's CE was my first major purchase. Only thing that'll come close now is new maps. Shame.
Maybe if every legend would have at least 1 personal animation with this knife it could worth it 🤨

As a community we need to boycott this the skins are cool but this system is terrible and so expensive and the fact they cancel making individual legend heirlooms being rumored is just all bad

They put the death box as the final reward so they can act like they aren’t putting the heirloom behind a paywall, but the chances of getting it without buying the whole event are so low that it is a paywall, literally in Belgium the final reward for the event is the heirloom and you have to pay double and buy the whole event, it’s just predatory marketing and loopholes for excuses, with the only interest being to draining peoples wallets
And universal heirlooms are just a bad idea, the reason the seer and ash heirloom are mid is because they don’t make much sense to the legends
Bro I opened the free reward pack first and the 4pack purchase item changed its discount from 70 to 60% .. decided not to buy in this event
This is my 12 and final heirloom that I bought . I bought to use it with mad Maggie. I skipped the final fantasy event.

I think its okay to have these universal heirlooms but they should link it to the lore somehow, I mean that is one of the best things about this game is the lore behind it!
Yea and make one per year..is stupid to think people are gonna buy universal heirloom after universal heirloom when they already have one..Give all legends one heirloom and then maybe try to create new ones for all legends like a wave two..A good start will be Octane Bat heirloom from Apex M..

I think for players that don’t have many heirlooms having one they can equip to everybody is nice. But it’s far too expensive to be worth it. I’ve been playing since season 0 and have completed every battle pass and have only gotten 1 heirloom in a pack.
I thought the heirloom was going to be a new weapon that was in the care packages,they totally lost the ball charging almost 300$ just for a chance to get it.

What they should of at least done was if you opened a gold in a pack it let you pick 1 gold item from the event. But ya know they may not make as much.
Honestly shocked how lax the community has been about this I mean you see the usual complaints but I find this downright LUDICROUS you cannot buy the skins you want but have to play roulette to see if you get lucky?? WHAT?!?!? And on top of that EA have taken a page out of their FIFA book and made the odds ridiculously low I used 17k crafting mats on packs in hopes to get the blood skin and all I got was 2 weapons skins. Ridiculous.
I do agree that character specific heirlooms have way more depth to them, but as someone who plays more than one legend and will basically never get heirloom shards more than once, I'd rather have one universal heirloom.

I agree with the whole vote with your wallet motion. I think that cosmetics do not need to cost more than several games. So i will not even play this event.
As for the whole expansion thing. Expressions are much better for games with a campaign and not games that are exclusively multiplayer.
I personally have gotten the event because of my abundance of crafting metals in addition to buying the early pack sales (so a mediocre amount of money).
The artifacts are getting a special customization mechanic (leaks have shown the menus in game so I’m sure of this) which means that perhaps, they have a certain plan for how to get people to buy stuff.
With these rewards being universal I imagine they would understand that once a player buys one they probably won’t be motivated to buy another (for example, I now have the death box skin and I can confidently say that I wouldn’t see much reason to buy another, because it’s universal and getting a new one would just make the previous box a waste).
They’re supposedly adding a “artifact currency” which is used to buy artifacts (separate from shards) and I think they’re trying to have players buy one big event (like the current one) and then make subsequent smaller purchases to get artifact currency to buy customization parts for their artifact.
Idk, it’s what I would do if I were a suit. But my opinion is to not buy the event (at least not with a crazy amount of money ya’know). Normal collection events were already pushing it and were infinitely more worth it. Let the suits know your opinion with your wallet, thank you for reading.

I'm confused, the item supposed to be a general item to be used with anyone it doesn't need to have a story. It's not something personal like the others so it's fine.

I get the idea behind a universal heirloom if you just wanted it for every legend, the issue is the price and event is just not it. The lack of personality doesn't help either but the biggest kicker is we don't even have heirlooms for Cat, Newcastle, Vantage, Maggie like don't they deserve love first???

Yeah wish I could buy the skins, managed to get the lifeline skin but want the ballistic skin but I’m not buying the full event. Agree, what makes the heirlooms worth it is the lore behind it. Even the ff7 heirloom has lore behind it, just not apex but oh well
EA is really alienating its player base, charging what can only be said as a *REDICULOUS* amount of money, at what the end of the day is just a knife. Not to mention ending legend specific heirlooms. I hope this heirlooms bombs for them, so they realise how insane they are being.

Yea idk how they monetized something even more greedily than the FF event but they did with not letting you purchase individual skins in the event. The 300+ price for a melee cosmetic is pretty ridiculous too considering that respawn left melee in an unusable state as a kneejerk to some reddit posts. I got the buster sword coz I grew up with final fantasy 7 and having the buster sword was a must for me with the amount of time I play apex. But this one is just nothing, just a dumb looking fat dagger thing.
i totally rrespect your opinion and whoever else thinks the same, but for me that im not to much in to the lore, and i play all the legends is more "cheaper" to get 1 to use it in all that get all of them, it might not be the best one but im happy i got it, + later is coming with costumazation and its gonna be pretty uniquie, i bought it and i have no regrets, for a person like me that i dont spend money on going on party or different stuff like this it makes more sense, in total i have 8 heirlooms and i never regret gettin one of them, still sucks that u cant craft your fav skin, but for whoever bought the whole event the skins are gonna be quite rare
It just doesn’t make sense that there’s only 8 unique items to purchase and then everything else is the same colored weapon, Holo sprays and banners. Waste of money. This dagger just looks like a giant kunai with less uniqueness
