Free speed camera database for VW, Skoda, SEAT navigation

- How to install free personal POI database in Volkswagen, Skoda, and SEAT cars equipped with #MIB2 navigation unit. This will show you speed cameras, safety cameras, red light traffic cameras on your navigation display of your car.
This PersonalPOI database is designed for MIB2 devices like: VW Discover Media 2, VW Discover Pro 2, Skoda Amundsen 2, Skoda Columbus 2, Seat Media System.
#Download speed camera database (Volkswagen compiled) for free from: free-speed-cam-updates.web2di... ,unzip it to an empty SD card, place it in headunit, go to NAV, SETUP, Memory Management, Update POIs, and wait few seconds for the update to be performed. Next you need to enable your custom POIs to show up on the map. Optionally you can also turn on POI announcements to be notified when you are close to the speed camera.
Current (November 2019) coverage: Belgium (1904), Switzerland (638), Germany (3844), Spain (1510), France (3516), Great Britain (5234), Italy (4185), Luxembourg (20), Portugal (667), Sweden (1056).
Installing new personal POIs with #speedCamera data will overwrite previous ones.

thank you for this tip, but i do notice wheni try to import the poi from free-speed-cam they says they are from 2016 even though its stated as new? i assume as it reads the dates in the cfg file? anyway reason why that aren't changed?
AFAIK they just don't bother to update version info with each new release.
can we use in Audi a4 b8 2013?
Hello. Thanks for the video. I wonder why do you need a second SD card? The speed camera file is not so big so why can't you install it on the original VW sd card? It won't work?
AFAIK if card contains navigation data then it will not be recognized as an update source.
Update procedure is copying POI data to the internal memory and card can be removed afterwards.

When i download the latest update from the link the EU version doesn’t include Netherlands? I see every country except NL. Do i need to download different one? Thnx

For me the wine and spirits is the last option, I downloaded the database from mib helper but it shows engineering update, but personal update like the one you are using...

I insert the SD cars and am told a software update is available. Follow your instruction going into memoery manager, update POI but comes back with an error saying not undate, any ideas

If you have Discover system then yes, you can install maps with an SD card.
work with MIB1, or just with MIB2?
If there's personal POI option in your system, then it should work.
Does you also need to install sound warning or it came as stanard in your mib2
Option is already there. You just need to toggle it in navigation settings. Something like "notify when nearby".

AFAIK in audi you can upload custom POI set to myAudi website, and download it to your car.

Check if you have the option to import POI in your infotainment.

Same as in the video: go to NAV, SETUP, memory manager and check if there's option to update POIs.
What about if the POI update function is not available? How can I activate it? OBD11?

Das klappt aber. Sogar mit ton. Hab auch das selbe MIB. nur die compilied version auf der Seite ist total veraltet.
