⚠️ Make sure your cars battery is in good shape or use external power source to make sure that voltage drops will not interrupt firmware update. Also use quality SD card.
ℹ️ Navigation maps are used for traffic sign recognition and for predictive active cruise control (pACC). Keeping them up to date will boost how those two features work. Only factory navigation is displayed on Virtual Cockpit - you can not use CarPlay/AndroidAuto with Google maps on the Active Info Display.
ℹ️ This DIY tutorial was created in 2016 Audi S3 (8V) with Audi MMI MIB2 (MHI2) system but the same files and similar procedure will work for other VAG vehicles, including VW Golf MK7, VW Passat B8, Skoda Octavia 3, Seat Leon 3.

When you update maps: does it update both MMI maps and Dashboard Maps?
The reason I ask is because in another videos when you updated the speed traps, they don’t appear on your dashboard maps.
I also tried to update my MIB2 high, without to update to the latest firmware. I have the required activation code 023000ee added with MIB as shown in your video, also got the “No valid update data…”
Is it mandatory to have the latest firmware installed??

I have a question about pACC, why doesn't it work when I leave Germany or Austria? when I enter Slovenia or Croatia it immediately tells me that it is not allowed for that country and still reads the signs but does not switch to ACC speed. Do you know what i need to do to enable it? Thank you

No hidden menu (red) when I push those two buttons. Either it puts me immediately on map (navigation) or goes to media (bluetooth).

Hello. I had Japanese maps datebase. I changed the firmware to European and updated European cards. the maps were updated with a 93% error, but the navigation is functional. I think that the European map datebase was installed next to the Japanese one, and did not interfere with it. maybe you know how to format the map database? In
green menu format nav_db_does not work.

You would have to replace the main unit, install GPS antenna.

You can't.
I still have to force update using the red menu and activate user select activated (through green menu first).
Do you know why that would be the case (it all works, no issues)?

Yes, there’s a 3rd party solution. Haven’t used it, it’s not free. Can’t really tell yet how it works and if it’s worth it.

It’s not a matter of activation as the 3rd party solution literally copied Google earth Server contents and is providing a SW update that makes your MMI look for the Google earth data on their mirror Server rather than Google’s own. So you can only do it with them.

Audi can read sd card up to 32GB, right? But those files can't fit to that memory card, every sd card I bought is arround 29GB but for maps needed 29.6 GB. Is there any workaround? thank you
no, it can read SDXC cards which are up to 2TB. I'm personally using 128GB card for media files without an issue.

Yes. I have the key mentioned at 2:11 and I have no problems using Audi Connect on my 19' RS3. I've also done other add-ons/modifications from his other videos which has not affected my ability to use Audi Connect on my RS3.

We installed the MIB V3.6.0-QR Edition and get error code 113 during installation.
After the installation, the following did not appear in the GEM MIB
Not 100% sure, but I believe that you need to update to higher firmware first. Your current firmware is too old to run M.I.B.

US maps are not freely available. but you can check on mibsolution.one for them.

When I copy maps to sd card it won't load maps, should I activate some code before inserting new maps on sd card or not?
MHS2 uses different maps than MHIG/MHI2.

Cześć. Audi a4b9, 02300ee mam legal więc powinno być ok. Ale pobieram mapę, formatuję kartę na fat32, kopiuje na nią zawartość rozpakowaną aktualizacji map, daje do slot1 i nic. Nie rusza. Nawet nie podświetla mi się ta opcja. Zarówno z menu aktualizacji jak i z czerwonego menu. Co robię nie tak ?
Sprawdź inną kartę. I sprawdź exFAT.
@@mrfixpl ok. Musze inną kartę w takim razie ogarnąć. A da się z pendrive za pomocą USB ? Update - sprawdzone na dwóch portach w podłokietniku i też nie widzi pendrive.
Mapy powinny wejść z USB.

For Audi MHS2_ER AU_P2035
MHS2 (MIB2 High Scale by Delphi) uses different maps. Those will not fit. But check out mib-helper.com for solutions for MHS2 units.
