- Download and update GPS navigation for #free in your #Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda with the 2023/2024 #maps. Check which version you already have, which system your car is equipped with, download latest maps, copy them to SD or USB drive, and perform navigation database update.
ℹ️ Press and hold MENU button for 3 seconds, go to "Software Update/Versions", and check your SW Train. This will tell you which infotainment system you have in your vehicle. Type in this information in mib-helper.com/ and scroll down to "GPS navigation maps updates" section. Select desired map, download it, extract it, copy it to SD card, and place it in infotainment main unit in your VW, Seat, or Skoda car.

Hi thanks for the video. I had to adjust to my own system that is starting with MSTD and then the map folder is different and is not named "map" but a "markets" plus a system folder that is important to copy. Another thing I experienced, it is better to do all this unzip and copying with a window computer rather than a Mac computer. Mac seems to add some system folders that are messing the Media in the car and does not make the card readable. I tried both and window was the winner. This can help someone.

hi! Such a question. I have Discover Media on my machine, is it possible to activate TMC? it does not show road events on maps. When you select the Movement tab in the menu, it shows nothing and the TMC icon is crossed out

Hey! Great video! Any tips to get the 2110 EU-AS maps on a 16gb SD card? I have succesfully got the 2010 EU-AS maps on it by removing all the other languages in the sds folder and also some files in the mapcfg, but the same trick doesn't work anymore with the 2110, just a bit to big. Thanks!

@@kevinqlimax8778I had the same problem as you.
Removing all the unnecessary languages (which you already did) AND removing the Delphi folder made it fit onto my card. Tested the nav and all is working. Keep in mind that you need to have the Technisat hardware, if you have Delphi hardware you obviously can’t remove the Delphi folder.

Seat = sometimes (depends on the factory license codes)
hey i tried to do the upadte for the radio but the radio cut off then the next minute it wakes back up and say install failed reinsert then it will reboot in 60's but it doesnt do anyhting is there anyway to clear it and start a fresh i have done a factory default but no luck

I tried with DiscoverCare V.1.0.4 but it doesn't work
when I access the navigation, it tells me to insert a data carrier with valid navigation data
I checked the card and it has a folder (maps) in which there are two other folders (00 & EEC)

Please help, I do everything as you explained in the video, but when I insert the card, the car does not recognize it. Is it possible that the problem is that the card itself does not allow me to format it in FAT32, but only allows me to format it in exFat format.

Posiadam Octavię z 16 roku i poprzedni właściciel nie robił update mapy. Próbuję ściągnąć mapę ze Skoda Portal ,to mam problemy z wypakowaniem jej (zip) jak już mi się uda to znowu radio nie odnajduje pliku do update. A mam orginal kartę SD Skody,ale się jej boję ruszać żebym nie stracił nawet tej starej mapy. Co robię nie tak???

Thanks for info. I have a 2017 VW Beetle. With the Nav unit, dual SD card readers in the face, not glove box. Bought from a Mitsubishi/VW dealer in Nashville, TN. USA Used. Did not have the SD card in. Was told have to buy for $225. Bought. Tried to put in, screen says "This card has the navigation data- uploading." 5 hrs later, says the same. Called dealer- "Our Electronic guy is a master on htis system but only comes in 1 day a week. Made appt. Dropped car off. Picked up 7 hr later. "Oh our guy quit so it did not get done. Good luck and no, you opened the SD card so we cannot take it back, Sorry" Screen works for about 20 minutes then stops. Reset it works for 20 min. than stops. Reset- works 30 min...... Replace whole unit $2200! Suggestions?

My 2017 Seat Leon (facelift version) SW train version is MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0359T, I would like to update the firmware so that the app icons are grid style as it is easier to use.
Do you know if it safe to update the firmware, i don't want to risk bricking the device

Start with enabling developer mode and checking in hidden menu if there's already an option to change the skin.

OK, so you need firmware from the 04xx series. Is your unit with navigation?

Do you think it is high risk to updating to 04xx series? If so I will leave it as it is only a minor inconvenience

Witam zaktualizowałem firmware i po aktualizacji znikła mi opcja łączenia się do hotspota w opcjach WLAN, moge utworzyć hotspot tworzony przez auto lecz nie mam zadnej mozliwości połączenia do np hotspot z telefonu, czy funkcja znikła po aktualizacji i da się ją jakoś odblokować przez obdeleven? Jeśli próbuję połączyć sie z car net to wyskakuje mi tylko opcja by podłączyć carstick.

Hi @mr-fix, thanks for your videos much appreciated. I've completed the 2022/23 maps update on my MIB MHI2Q (ER_AUG22_P5092_MU1329) last year. I'm trying to update the 2024 maps P333_N60S5MIBH3_ROW and also tried the P313_N60S5MIBH3_ROW following MIB Helper website. However getting message, the data are not compatible or are outdated. I have all legal FEC activation keys 023D002E used for 2022/23, 023D0032, 023D00EE and 023000EE. what is the FEC code required for ROW maps 2023/24. Are there any separate Australian maps for download?
MIB Helper website doesn’t have the correct 2023-24 maps. I’ve put my software train correctly as mentioned above but the P333 maps for MHI2Q don’t work. I get the message “the update data are not supported or are outdated”.

niestety te które wskazuje mi mim-helper dla mojego MHI2_ER_AUG22_K3344 w Audi po ściągnięciu i rozpakowaniu na kartę jednostka nie przyjmuje - ( wyrzuca komunikat "Na nośniku nie znaleziono żadnych poprawnych danych aktualizacji"). Poprzednie z wersji 310 przyjmowało bez problemu, następnie dogranie speedcamsów EU też, a tej nowej mapy nie chce. Może potrzebuje jakiejś innej wersji niż ta P330_N60S5MIBH3_EU ?

There's also MOI3 update package there. But I believe you need USB-C drive to update.

Download the file, extract it on your USB-C drive, plug it in your car and leave it plugged for a couple days. That's what I did in my 2022 Ibiza

Bolero does not have GPS navigation at all.

Amundsen or Columbus.
Amundsen is lower trim, Columbus is higher trim option.
Bolero is almost the same as Amundsen, just without the nav option.

MIB1 High (MHIG) and MIB2 High (MHI2) are using the same maps. Also available to download via MIB-Helper.com

doesn't matter if it's Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda, or Porsche. As long as it's MHIG or MHI2 unit, map update is the same for all.

@@mrfixpl Hello, downloaded zip, unzipped and put all 3 files on card. In red menu search for update, system is then reading but showing (0) behind each country and E15 and when you push on E15 it shows Bootloader 0 - 0 without Box checked and Application like 203-274 or any other number, here you also can not checkmark. Also does not give me the update button at the end of all files which is just grey not white to be able to click. So what could be the matter here? My old P0503 train version? Don´t want to update train system as probably nothing really new needed in it but all of my system changes (VOD, Oiltemp, light, seat warmer schedule etc.) would disappear.Thx

Do not worry it will work - Try formatting again, (make sure card is unlocked) then download the 20/21 version again.
Like me you may be disappointed to find this earlier MSTD (MIB1) infotainment system will not take a newer (bigger) map - my Skoda Octavia 3 car is only 8 years old - well done VAG.

the site you linked doesn't pull maps from vw but from some 3rd party server
possible viruses or malware - avoid
lighthouselabs is a 3rd party provider of maps for VAG. This server is linked to the files that you can get from DiscoverCare app. VW will have the same maps at navigation-maps.volkswagen.com, Skoda at infotainment-cdn.skoda-auto.com, Seat at seatmapdownloads.akamaized.net.
But if you want you can just wait for VW to link it on their portal.
