- Over the past decade or so, the auto industry has been shifting from hydraulic power steering to electric power steering, also known as electric power-assisted steering, or EPAS. While EPAS offers a number of benefits, the logic behind EPAS isn’t much different than hydraulic power steering.

I prefer hydraulic by far. Much better steering feel.

That's cool, but hydraulic power steering has always been a seriously flawed and compromised system. It's prone to being twitchy at high speeds due to the requirement for it to provide effective assistance and steering feel at low speeds.

I can't think of any passenger car that still uses hydraulic power steering
2021 Subaru WRX STI has hydraulic steering.
My toyota avalon still uses electro hydrolic power steering system.

So if i install a Magnasteer Rack and Pinion into a Non Magnasterr should it work the same?? Is Hydraulic System Its just has a connector at the Pinion
In the UK Fiat were the first to provide electric steering on a mass produced car , it was the MK2 Punto in 1999 and was a good system but weird when it arrived.
So in short Hydraulic Power Steering , when at stop the steering is hard to turn compare to Electric Power Steering?
