    This isn't nearly enough to replace a bicycle. How is that supposed to run on bumpy roads, or roads with steep gradient?

      I wouldn't recommend for very steep grades, but the average 13-15% works fine. In addition to the sport, they have a Pro now that has 10" pneumatic tires and is designed for the rough stuff.
      I ride mine daily and don't suffer too much from these issues, but I guess it depends on your lifestyle. No 1 product fits everyone, every time.

    So this is a perfect solution for me. I take the train into the city (I need portability -- folding bikes still take up more space than i'd like), then have a 30 min walk to work (URB-E!!). I work in Chicago, no need to worry about steep hills.

    I already have an E-Bike, a foldable one, but I placed an order for the Sports GT model too for a few reasons. I upgraded my E-bike a lil too much, it went from 30lbs to 50lbs now.
    The main reason I pre-ordered the Urb-E was the size. My E-bike, even when folded, it's a bit chunky, and I wanted it only to get home from work, but I can't exactly bring it inside our store and park it in our rear break room, everyday. My manager will scold me for that, and even with my $100+ Kryptonite locks, I still feel uneasy locking it in front of my store, 'cuz it's high traffic and can be vandalized if not stolen. The tiny size of the Urb-E takes up very little space when folded, it's a little bigger than a piece of printing paper in diameter. It's small enough that I can carry it like a briefcase to the backroom and place it where no one would even notice it.
    The little beast is actually pretty strong, I saw videos of it carrying a full grown man up those "ramp stairs that goes over express ways", with no problem or slowing down. As for distance, my job takes about 14 mins to get to by car, 28 mins by public transportation that costs S2.75 for now, and this vehicle claims I could get home in around 25-33 mins if I take the local routes (so I don't have to rush for the bus, and save myself the fair, every time!).
    PS, they kept the speed just under the speed limit for requiring a drivers license to ride it, and it's classified as a Bike, so you can take the bike lanes.

      Bikes are a different segment.
      Maybe the tiny folding kind could be compared to the URB-E since they can be taken on a bus or train.
      The idea behind the URB-E is to easily fill that last mile gap.
      Sure, you could just walk too, but doing that in a suite many times a day may require many showers per day.

      It's funny, because my laptop was $1500 and so are some watches and espresso machines.
      What's your point though?
      Are you having to decide between buying a car or the URB-E?
      If so, then many things come into play, but I wouldn't count the URB-E out!

    It's 30 lbs, just get a full suspension bike, hella lot cheaper too so you'll be able to by 3-4 when the other ones get stolen.
    Electricity is not all green energy, you're still polluting the earth by charging up the battery.

    • @MrDmitryC
      @MrDmitryC Před 7 lety

      Or an ECU... This model, for example is about the same cost, has a lower weight, but will do around 15mph and 16 to 43 mile range (depending on the battery): www.euc.nyc/14-mcm4/
      You're polluting the Earth even when you eat that extra burger for calories burned during the exercise, and showing up to work sweaty after a bike commute is not always an option.

    • @NoSURBE
      @NoSURBE Před 7 lety

      Well, that all depends on the source of your charge.
