Isn't the simple answer to the Liverpool/Chelsea comparison that Liverpool's spending appeared more focused because at the time they had fewer gaps in the squad to fill? They were poor defensively, so they went and paid big bucks for a good keeper and a good centerback, but they already had a functional midfield and attack when they did those two signings, hence why they didn't need to splash the cash in those areas.
Osimhen is Premier League ready. he is strong, physical, technical. will be a nightmare for defenders, and I think he will be Drogba 2.0 for Chelsea. Come on Todd and Eghbaly please make it happen.

The midfield was overdue for new blood. The attack also needed an overhaul. It’s clear players like Havertz and co aren’t what they were supposed to be. We can’t keep hoping at some point they’ll light the world on fire. They won us a CL and that was the peak. Time for a new direction.

Seeing his moves and strength screams the individual that fits Chelsea’s style of play. He’s ability to clear up the defender after going past the keeper even under such pressure made me remember Drogba. We’ve hardly had such a player up front since he left. My point is the player to lead the front must NOT only be a goal scorer but also one with the strength and skill set to bring others into player. This Fofana shows.
