When she was younger, she told her mom she wanted to sing at the Nobel peace prize!😇🌺
It has been reported that show had a cold during this performance ,and still she showed up to perform barefoot . she was told not to but she still stayed true to her commitment. They had provided a little heater to blow on her feet during this performance . As you can see everybody has on jackets head coverings and gloves as it was very cold there, and she is standing there barefoot singing in the in open air weather with a cold in the cold weather. Angelina an 8 year old with more guts and determination than most everybody else.
Ugh... another thing I forgot to comment on. I did notice how everyone was dressed and she had this dress and no shoes. But I did NOT know about the cold ..thanks so much!

@@A-AronReacts Luckily, the cold was already subsiding, so Angelina was able to fulfill her dream of singing at a Nobel Peace Prize event. It was 42°F (= 5.6°C) cold in Oslo that day (December 10th) and this performance lasted two and a half minutes, so bare feet were probably acceptable, otherwise her mom wouldn't have allowed it.

People that have attended her shows say that when she looks into the audience she looks directly at a person and focuses on, and connects with that person. It seems that when she sees a person filming her, she she looks at their camera and waves to that person. 😊 sweet
I'm a Swede but I have been at this site in central Oslo many times, even hearing concerts there. Angelina is singing at the inner part of Oslo harbour, whereh you arrive to Oslo from the sea. Behind her to the right is the huge, modern Oslo City Hall, which can be seen from far away out at the sea. Front left of her s the old Oslo Western Railway Station. It's not used as a railway station any longer, because now there is a tunnel under the city, so they don't have to have two separate railway stations in Oslo anymore. In the end of the video you see the inner harbour of Oslo right in front of Angelina. There are a lot of small ferries, which can take you in many directions - out to some of the islands in the Oslo archipelago, or to places along the very deep Oslo Bay, or to the peninsula, where you can visit the Kon Tiki Museum and the Viking Ship Museum.
Frigid weather and barefoot. Angelina has grown to be a world class miracle that cannot be compared to others, others should be compared to her.
Notice what she is wearing, a small white dress and what people in the audience and on stage are wearing, winter jackets and coats, Angelina is also bare foot and this is December 11 in Norway.
Actually, December 10th, the morning of the ceremony (which happened later, at 1pm). You can verify the date by searching the web for the name of the event (seen onscreen) and year. (The organization itself, Redd Barna, has information about it on their website.)

The Nobel peace ceremony takes place in Oslo in Norway 🇳🇴 while the other prize ceremonies take place annually in Stockholm in Sweden, the Nobel Norway committee considered Norway better suited to awarding the prize as it did not have the same militaristic traditions as Sweden, Angelina the only artist to have performed at two Noble Award events, at 8 years old and again at 17 years old, Angelina is so special and a once in a generation talent, great reaction thanks 🙏

She had a cold but wouldn't miss this for anything. When you play it again you can hear all the nasal sounds. But, she was still wonderful.
Stage presence? Aaron, I'll tell you what you're missing. When she starts to sing people are immediately drawn into her world and the ability to think for a few precious moments is gone. Her voice is one of an angel and every twinkle in her eye, or pushing her hair off to the side, or giving us a half smile which makes everyone of us smile, or moving her head side to side, or fondling the mike, or seemingly making eye contact directly to everyone in the audience, THAT'S WHAT YOU CALL STAGE PRESENCE. When the performance is over we need a few seconds to try to imagine what just happened to us and where did we go. Aaron, you want to improve her stage presence? Tell us EXACTLY what you would want her to do. HER VOICE IS THE SHOW. THE VISION BEFORE US IS THAT OF A VERY SPECIAL HUMAN BEING WHO SINGS FOR US. She has our heart, she touches our soul and her voice and artistry is that of someone who has lived probably a hundred years. When listening to Angelina, tearing up is the norm rather than the exception. Aaron, what it comes down to is your format specifically has to do with critiquing her performances. In that regard, everything is relevant to her age. She is not getting better as she gets older. She is maxing out at every age doing things incomprehensible for anyone else her age to do. The "errors" you point out she is making are not errors. She is trying very hard to get to a point, a limitation her voice will take her to and we understand that and appreciate her effort and dedication. I'm not saying what you say is incorrect or inappropriate. It's just that you are talking to the gospel and, well, I think you know what I mean. Listening to her, Aaron, and taking notes at the same time, you are losing out on enjoying a Master (yes, a Master) at work singing for us and she wants us to feel happiness, hope and most of all love. You spoke about her singing songs of 'darkness'. If you listen closely, although the subject matter could be considered dark she doesn't dwell on that and otherwise finds the love in the message of the song and interprets it in a way, that when she does a cover of a classic song we almost believe she creates a whole new message to the song. She literally makes the song, her version, a new song (like what she did to Bohemian Rhapsody). Another words she finds the brightness in the song, even if hidden because of the songs presentation.
Btw, this was the same cold she had when she performed at the Charity event in Sweden when she sang 'I'll Be There'.
Aaron, I know you're with us and there is no need for you to constantly apologize for saying something which you believe will turn us away. But you have to understand we look at the whole picture before us and what we see and hear is a vision and sound of a Messenger of Love and anyone who doubts that has a heart which is closed because of a variety of reasons or is too distracted with the mechanics of living to stop and feel what love is all about in it's most purest form.

I agree, she has not and will never have to change anything!! The stage presence of Angelina Jordan is right that: Her Presence!! When an Angel touch ground, there's nothing else to do: Presence IS present!! When you stun people, stop their breath, flood their tears by releasing 1 note out of your mouth, you don't need to (we have perfect German word for that) rumhampeln!! Like these shallow, ridiculous plastic "singers" nowadays. They don't make it any better or camouflage their inability to sing by clowing and jumping around.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by Norway. All the others are awarded by Sweden.
She also called the shots, her intuition, in where any of her development was mostly hers. We dont have a lotvof of early home practices or rehearsals

She’s eight here. Just being on that is enough stage presence. Even Angelina needs nothing. No acrobatics or jumping around. All she needs to do is sing. You have your opinion but she has her evidence.

Angelina appears to be the only artist at this Nobel Peace Prize event twice before reaching adulthood - the first one you reacted to here, at 8 years old, and the second was just this past year (2023) at age 17 performing Unchained Meloday with a full orchestra.
And it was an extremely special performance because it was for an Iranian women's rights activist who has been a political prisoner for years. Angelina's biggest fan, her Gramma Meri, is a native born Iranian.

They absolutely chose the right artist at 8 years old for this very prestigious event...they were wise enough to bring her back at age 17 to once again grace the ceremonies. Following the Nobel ceremony, Angelina sang here at the Redd Barnes fredsprisfest (Save The Children’s Nobel Prize festival) with the Nobel recipients attending on stage. Others performed at the festival, but the Nobel recipients were present only during Angelina’s performance.
Actually, this was just before the ceremony, at 11:49am local time (with a previous performance of the same song at 11:17am, before the prize winners showed up). The award ceremony happened at 1pm. (And a small correction on the name of the event: "Save the Children's Peace Prize Festival".)

I absolutely think that whatever amount of 'stage presence' AJ is comfortable with is what she should have. I definitely feel like if she started doing choreography or got a flashy stage show with dancers etc. or any of that stuff it would detract from what she does best, which is to 'stand and deliver'. She just delivers in a way that is almost like she becomes the song sometimes. And that is surely good enough for me. And I'm sure it's not just me. But, art is subjective and we all like what we like. On a side note...Do you ever have trouble with your comments being disabled in your AJ videos? They keep turning mine off. Anyhow keep doing your thing and celebrating the barefoot princess!
Look up her performance in Muse jazz festival in South Korea when she sings Summertime. Mind boggling!!!!!!!!
We know Angelina's vocals are not perfect, in the technical sense. We angels love to say her imperfections are perfect.
Angelina, no doubt has inspired many, especially young women. We have seen many young women covering Angelina's songs. The same can be said for The Warning, who are inspiring young women who have found a love of rock and roll thanks to those 3 sisters from Monterrey, Mexico. The world is truly wonderful and a much better place with music.
Most loving distractions and mistakes for me happened while singing I Feel Good during the winter concert. That was the expression of the happiest 8 years old Angelina that I ever saw. Always humble and giving the crown of flowers to her dearest friend at the conclusion. Guaranteed well spent 15 minutes!

@@A-AronReacts I'm not one of those fans that defends everything she does, but who the hell cares about stage presence? For me, standing at the mic and dominating that space is presence enough, especially at that age . She'll get a little more mobile in her old age, but her personality does not lend itself to typical manifestations of "stage presence." Thankfully. You seem to have bogged down in her 6-year-old performances. How much can be said about a toddler with a mic? I'm looking forward to your reactions to some real displays of talent as she ages.
I clearly need to spell this out as several people were confused.... I'm not saying here (just as I said twice before) but where she could grow to. As she matures to a seasoned performer, there is a LOT more she can do and to engage the audience for an entire concert, she can be much more powerful to interact with them, walking around, more body language, etc. Please don't overthink this as CRITICISM. It is literally a place for her to grow to (from this age) and nothing more. I suspect that she is doing this today but I'm looking at 8 year old Angelina here and yes she is just perfect here...that is an area for future growth

You see all well on clothes. If i remember correct it was -13 degrees C that day and she performed in a dress and bare feet. She got a cold for her next performance in Sweden later probably due to this performance. She is remarkable artist. Love from Norway!

I love your comments and analysis, but I just don’t get that stage presence concept. Her voice is her stage presence. Does Yo Yo Ma need to work on his stage presence?
Nor do I...she is an 8 year old child, does not need stage presence...she is a child. Her smiling and waving, turning to sing right to the recipients, is more than you would get from most adult "performers".... she is quite obviously very comfortable on stage. it is freezing cold here, they have a heater on her bare feet, not ideal circumstances.
On top of this stellar performance please note, it was 40 degrees on this November day in Norway and she is on the stage in her bare feet singing. She caught a cold after this, but had another performance committed to in Sweden for a charity event. The doctors recommended she not perform, but she insisted that she had committed to sing and went ahead a tackled Michael Jackson's "I'll Be There", cold and all. No she did not - Swedish heroes gala took place two days before this event in Oslo. She was feeling pretty bad in Stockholm, but here in Oslo she was much better.

It's a common misconception, because "Swedish Heroes" was recorded on December 8th and aired a few days later on December 12th on TV4 Sweden - unlike that NPP event on December 10th, it was not broadcast live. And yes, obviously sick there in Stockholm - I'm curious to hear Aaron's opinion on the matter when he (hopefully) reacts to it.

Could you not tell that she has a cold? Did you notice that all the people on stage are all bundled up in heavy coats and scarves, and she is standing up there in the wind with a little dress on with some kind of undershirt and leggings, and don’t forget the bare feet in that weather! Again, according to Angelina, the show must go on, and I have to give props to her mom for letting her go out there sick and in that weather.

I'm not sure I would call that a sound check. It's actually even more of a live performance than the one seen here (as she is singing with live musicians, whereas here she sang to a prerecorded track).😁
