Karl Tausig (sometimes "Carl"; born "Karol") was a Polish virtuoso pianist, arranger and composer. He is generally regarded as Franz Liszt's most esteemed pupil, and one of the greatest pianists of all time. Tausig was considered by some critics to be the greatest of Liszt's pupils, pianistically speaking, and to carry pure virtuosity to heights only suggested by Liszt. Anton Rubinstein called him "the infallible." Where Tausig differed from his teacher was in his lack of flamboyant gestures while playing. Tausig sat motionless at the piano and abhorred what he called Spektakel. While his fingers were working miracles at the keyboard without any digital errors, the only sign of tension from Tausig would be a slight tightening of one corner of his mouth.
Until his untimely death, some critics surmise that Tausig may not have had a pianistic equal, combining Liszt's force and range of tone color with the intellectuality of his fellow pupil Hans von Bülow. Another Liszt pupil, Eugen d'Albert, compared Tausig very favorably with their teacher. He said that while Liszt's musical conceptions were grander, Tausig possessed a better and more accurate technique coupled with a good deal of poetry.

People are busy watching LEd key lights. No face, no emotion, just 2 plain hands. Not dissing on the performance though, but I prefer watching a professional performance like Mr.Stanislavs. He deserves a million!

@@StanislavStanchev não tenho o que falar de um profissional como você 👏 👏
Wow well done! The finesse, especially of the repeated notes👍 Have you been this piece for long?
Thanks Timothy! :) And no, I haven`t played it long. Something like a month :)
@@StanislavStanchev That's awesome! You definitely have great finesse and dexterity
Amazing! Great job as always :)
Btw what do you think about practice El Contrabandista by Liszt? Lol
Thank you! :) I have it in the list for a future video :) I will see when I will get to it :) Best wishes!
Bravissimo! Probably the best rendition I heard so far and I like to hear classical music all day long. I think the recording would profit so much by a condenser mic stereo setup though. Try the Blumlein setting. I know it may be expensive, but your playing is only worth the best recording equipment! :) May I ask what cams you do use? I see you have one filming the whole scenery and from above.
I just saw you got the Sony recording device recently and it already sounds much better than the old one!! From muffled to clear. It still lacks room and depth now sadly, I wish I could just make you hear what you would sound like with a true stereo setting. Its amazing what a great pianist like you can create with that
Thanks man! And yeah I am very happy with the Sony for the moment :) I want a portable one for now :) Maybe in the future I will get more professional setup but for now I make the videos as a hobby :) Best wishes as always :)
Triller king.
👏👏👏😍
Thank you very much! :))
Do you know the pinky problem? It's with my left hand. It keeps straightening up, and stretching out, it's hard to play running notes in left hand. For example Chopin ballade 4 coda last few bars when both hands run down the piano from the top it's so hard for my left hand. So how do u deal with that? I can't seem to tuck it in.
You have to play more etudes and pieces focused for the left hand. Like Czerny etudes etc :)
Very cleanly played. Bravo. What year is your C. Bechstein and how long is it? The voicing was very well balanced and you used it well to show your strength and artistry.
Thanks! :) The piano is a Model L from 1930. It is around 170cm long I think :)
@@StanislavStanchev It sounds much bigger. The best pianos are from that era.
@@bulisabahay57 I agree 110% 😃 Sadly, in some years it will need a rebuild and here in Bulgaria no one can do such work.. what I will do then, I don't know.
@@StanislavStanchev living in the present moment , life often holds beautiful surprises !
@@StanislavStanchev 🚴remember , bicycle of Einstein
How long do I have to practise to get fingers that long.
They won't get longer with practice sadly :)
@@StanislavStanchev sad face. Out of interest, have you tried Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody 6? There are stretches in the Presto section that almost everyone ignores.
@@Frohicky1 I played it back in school. I will probably record it for the channel at some point :)
@@StanislavStanchev Please do!
👏👏👏
🙂🙂🙂
Very impressive-seems your hands were made for the klavir
Thank you very much :))
What kind of practice do i need to play this 😳😍
Many hours on the instrument :) Nothing particular :)
Can you do a practice lesson on this piece 🥺
There is not much to it :) I practiced in slow tempo left/right hand separately :)
🌷😱🌷
🙂🙂🙂
You're playing better than Wang's
Thank you very much my friend! :))
Agreed! Much more style.
