Chopin - Prelude Op. 28, No. 22 | Piano with Sheet Music
As requested here is the Prelude Op. 28, No. 22 (Molto agitato) by Chopin in G minor/g moll. This Prelude begins with a characteristic dotted rhythm with octaves in the left hand (eighth, dotted eighth, and sixteenth notes) that Scriabin was later to adopt in his early Chopin-esque preludes.. Chopin's 24 Preludes, Op. 28, are a set of short pieces for the piano, one in each of the twenty-four keys, originally published in 1839.
Chopin wrote them between 1835 and 1839, partly at Valldemossa, Mallorca, where he spent the winter of 1838-39 and where he had fled with George Sand and her children to escape the damp Paris weather. In Majorca, Chopin had a copy of Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, and as in each of Bach's two sets of preludes and fugues, his Op. 28 set comprises a complete cycle of the major and minor keys, albeit with a different ordering.

While the right hand sings a simple melody, the left plays continuous doubled eighth notes characterized by chromatic movement, including chromatic nonharmonic tones, taken up by the right hand also in the latter half of the piece. I remember this piece from a lullaby cd my mom would play when I was quite literally a toddler. I haven’t heard it since until today. This piece is so unique and special I’m glad I came across this

I know why you can play our music so well: because you people from the Balkans are very similar to us Brazilians emotionally. When I lived in Japan, my best foreign friends were from Serbia and Bulgaria, countries that I hope I can visit someday! Cheers and keep up doing the awesome work! As glad as I am that 2 Piano versions exists I often wondered how commercial viable they really were. How many households in the 19th Century had 2 Pianos? Or were these more meant for public performance in places that couldn't afford the orchestral forces?
Probably public performances but also house ones as you said. Many places had two pianos back in the days and if you had more than one person who could play the piano, you could play many symphonic pieces :)

for such a powerful piece like the Rach Prelude Op 3, no 2, i think the grand piano is definitely more fitting. It just has a much more robust sound which this piece definitely needs
