Exactly right. And just like the judge said, if there are questions that she has about the testimony, she's going to ask them, and he has to answer them. He made a choice to come on the show and file the lawsuit. It would be no different in regular court, and it would also be a public record. The people's court didn't have to air this episode, so it wouldn't necessarily be of any kind of public record. But in regular court, it would be, perhaps forever.

That little pearl of wisdom from Harvey at the end is dead on. When I was going through my divorce, it took my 16-year-old daughter to tell me "don't be a simp", literally she said that to me. And it was like a kick in the nuts. I realized that I was a vulnerable target for hustlers. Men and women. I put my guard up, and I know I avoided some really terrible situations.

In fact, I have come to learn that just about all children have this perfect insight until it is corrupted by the pressures of the world.
Besides God, my daughter has been my greatest teacher. She has taught me patience, empathy, perseverance, loyalty, and the most important thing in life. My life changed 18 years ago, and it has only gotten better ever since. Of course, times have been difficult, but I am so proud of the woman that she is becoming.
