Two french songs, one song in Ukrainian and Russian and the winning song in Italian. I'm more than happy that we had few songs in native languages in Top.10. This is Eurovision that I love! 😃

Theoretically Russia sang part of it in Tajik because the parents of Manizha are both Tajik and well they were both USSR before. But I could not hear a single Tajik word. I speak Russian so I should have noticed if they used anything other than Russian and English.

@@dmytrobesh1941 I kind of agree, sometimes people don't get troll performances. Sadly, Jendrink was missing something that the countries named before have, a good quality song. It was fine, but maybe too plain to achieve a god place, but it's sad that people didn't appreciate him more.
I would say France as well since it was done in a very unique way. It's possible to make an awesome and impressive show with only charm, lightning and camera angles 🇫🇷❤️

The first final where 80% of the songs are legitimately listenable. You want summer bop? You have Serbia and Co. You want funky electropop? Dadi. Taking the electro a little bit extreme with touch of folk? Go_A. Want some nostalgic ballad? Victoria, Black Mamba and Barbara are ready to serve. Want some rock? Maneskin and Blind Channel ready to pump you up.

Russia probably has the most underrated performance in terms of stage visuals. All the other non-English songs were great and all but I didn't understand anything of what they were singing about but I particularly loved that Manizha showed me what she was singing about without needing me to understand any Russian at all.

Finland received highest points ever in their history in the contest they had OPEN UP this decade with a BANG after a really tedious result in the last decade. I believe one day Finland's gonna win again as long as they can send out songs as quality as this year one

@@davidnagy2102 Haha yeah, though it doesn't need to be metal necessary. Last year I think we got someone singing a song that was actually pretty nice. We need someone with a passion that can perform a track that has a soul. I would actually like to see a metal band tho. I grew into that genre.

For me this is how ESC should be. There have been times, where the countrys where forced to sing in their native language. But it's a lot better that it's happening automatic and it seems to be working.

Me too, I liked Ukraine, France and Italy. Out of the rest of Top 10 entries, I also like Russia, Iceland was OK, but not as good as everyone said. Yes, and I'm not sure, if Blind Channel isn't too hard for me, or too much loud instrumentation, rather. If I heard it on the radio, I'd probably think 'just another pop rock song, maybe hard is the wrong term. But surely also one of the better entries, I guess. Just not my cup of tea stylewise.
Rock'n Roll never dies! My ten years old daughter just loves this Italian song. Finland is famous about metal bands. BC is still quite average. Nightwish would be great to see at Eurovision stage. Their liveversion Ghost love score in wacken 2013 was pure madness!

yes, and 10 very different songs! overall I think this was the strongest final we had in a while. Obviously it did feel as though there were robberies, but at the same time, there weren't really any true trainwrecks this year, even in the semis.

But not as a whole. I preferred '20 and '17, heck even '12. In depth these years were better. I won't be gorging on 8+ music vid tracks for months afterwards from this year. Most folks agree that the 90% of returning artists had better songs last year. It's not a bad year but what will survive time, not much I think.

I almost had an mental breakdown because of Russia haha. This year was so emotional. I even cried because it was an up and down. I feel a bit sorry for some countries which would have deserved more love. I think every country deserves to win no matter which country it is. I am hyped for 2022👏

That's accurate cause Witcher is polish and is representing Slavic mythology, music and culture ( both Poland and Ukraine are Slavic) so they have similar languages, culture, music etc
Because Ukraine is slavic and The Witcher 3's music is also slavic
France and Swiss could easily win in other years... this year had to be one of the most competitive year ever. Anyone in the top 10 could actually take the crown home
Switzerland was just incredible 💕 but honestly they were all really good
They could have a chance if they participated in other years, but in this year half+ of the top 5 had no chance to win.
Every year is competitive though. Does no one remember the year Mans Zermerlow won with Heroes he went up against "A Million Voices" by Russia and "Grande Amore" by il Volo? I remember both Russia and Italy were super hot favorites (I love 'Heroes' but I still think 'Grande Amore' should have won), it was super close. People that think this year was closer than other years have short memories. It's almost always close, especially in the past 5 years or so. I only remember watching 1-2 eurovisions in the past 10 years where the winner was decided early.
I don't necessarily agree. Duncan's song in 2019 was competing against Soldi, and both were (in my opinion) superior to the Swiss and French entries this year. Same for the year before: toy and Fuego were huge (while I'm not a fan of toy, Fuego was a bop and would also have beat both songs).

As a Ukrainian reading all of these absolutely sweetest comments made me cry tears of joy. My country doesn't always get the recognition it truly deserves, so with all my heart i want to say thank you to GoA for this absolutely incredible performance, and to all of the people supporting GoA and Ukraine, you guys truly are the best, we love and value each and single one of you so so much!
P.S-sending lots of love to Italy and France. Your performances were breathtaking! I actually liked France and Ukraine the most. Russia, Italy and Iceland were OK, but not sure about Switzerland, it wasn't the4 worst entr, but I rather found it boring.
