Just stumbled upon this, thanks for taking the time to do a review of my work. Really glad you liked the knife!
Regarding blacked out pins / green pins: right now my 'pins' are actually 'corby bolts' with the heads ground off flush to the handle scales, which gives a really strong mechanical fastening between the scales and the tang. Threaded fasteners, like corby bolts, actually stretch a little (like a spring) during installation which keeps the fitment really nice and tight, provides a lot of pressure to pull the assembly together. If I wanted to go with black or green fasteners then unfortunately I'd have to go with straight G10 or CF 'pins' rather than the threaded fasteners and I feel this would be a lot weaker, and would make it a lot harder to provide the tight fit that I'm after... I do also think they'd look really cool though, and I have been tempted to try it! 🙂
Regarding the skeletonization of the tang: here's a link to a photo of some test blades where you can see the skeletonization: i.imgur.com/Did1QzJ.jpg I do remove quite a bit of material in order to keep the weight down and get the balance correct, but the tang is also the full thickness of the steel stock, so the tang still has plenty of strength. I break a LOT of my own blades during testing and I think I have only ever managed to break a tang once even without the handle scales installed, and that involved a vise and a pipe 🤣... With the scales installed it's even harder to break the tang and I have actually never had that happen even during deliberate destructive testing.

That is my personal favorite fix blade that I own ! From the heat treat protocols, the clean grinds, all the way to a sharpening Choil which I rare to see on fixed blades.. lots of details.. lots of durability lots of quality!

I have fallen on love with fixed blades over folders. I seeing both but nice when a fixed blade is under review.

Sleek-lookin, capable knife. My current favorite is the ANV M311 but i know that'll be my new favorite once i get my hand on em'

I believe it's pronounced like "Guff". I've had mine for a few years and it's been my companion on several hog hunts. It butchered multiple hogs and cut through them like butter. The hog blood discolored the dlc coating on mine for some reason.

I’m not a big fixed blade guy either, but this looks like a great knife. I like that little pop of green. I wouldn’t go green on the pins but a green collar around the pins I think would look awesome. I also like just the signature on the blade too.
