If it is one thing that is the hardest to learn in fighting. Is the ability to stay calm and relax when under fire. Canelo keeps calm even when he's hurt. All that experience comes into play along with solid basics.
@@rafaelbabar3494 It has it's merits. It loses me when it hammers the thigh though lol. Like all martial arts, it has to be tested "live". But it has good covers and that is very important for a solid base.
@@TheUmmahFightCamp No Fighter is beyond criticism and that includes Canelo Alvarez. I take issue with him holding on to Undisputed status and freezing out top guys in his division like David Benavidez.
There is reason some fighters are champions while others are not. Canelo learns from his defeats as well as his victories. I’ve seen many low level fighters go head hunting while lacking the skills or talent to do so. Kelly Pavlik in my opinion didn’t have elite athletic ability that other elite fighters have. What he did have were great basics , great boxing skills and a lion’s heart. I’ve seen him beat much stronger and quicker opponents than himself with his superior basics. His fights should be required viewing of all would be boxers and strikers.
@@TheUmmahFightCamp I firm believer in having great fundamentals. I’ve seen too many former ball players in the UFC get destroyed by top 15 fighters because they have lousy basics.

It was a great fight for Canelo and kirklabd had his night in some moments, but kirk if i remember got some bad info from his corner and his trainer female trainer is a good trainer. But she couldve been off that night and caused him to loose severly.
