    If you're looking to send in any cards for grading, hopefully this will help you avoid a big headache from rejections.

    • @collectorsimpact

    • @collectorsimpact
      @collectorsimpact  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah for sure, but that's one of the major draws for buying a graded card, knowing it's not been touched up or PSA would have caught it.
      The only thing odd is how they sometimes reject cards for being outside of the minimum size requirements. They can reject pack fresh cards for that, and it's hard to mitigate it. It's rare, but it happens, and when it does it's annoying lol.

    • @collectorsimpact
      @collectorsimpact  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah that's a good point. There are fake slabs out there, but it's usually easy to tell the difference. The labels have security water marks along with proprietary fonts and inks. And the real cases are branded with PSA in the corners and are very consistent in their quality. There are other indicators too, but those are red flags; if you don't see the correct labels or the PSA branding on the cases. I might make a video on this subject now that you mention it :)

      @@collectorsimpact hey another random question (sorry. Just got back in the hobby about a month ago when I found out I was having a baby boy. Started wanting to so all the stuff I did as a kid again. Last time I collected was 1996) but if you send in an encased card like from flawless, does psa grade the card or is the case counted as part of the card?

    • @collectorsimpact
      @collectorsimpact  Před 2 lety +1

      @@joeshaver1104 That's awesome, and congrats! Not exactly sure what flawless is, but typically PSA does count a sealed cards packaging as part of the card if submitted that way. For example, sometimes you can get promo card that is sealed in a clear plastic pack from the factory. If you submit it for grading without removing the packaging, they'll grade the packaged card as a whole and encapsulate it in a special capsule fit for sealed product. If you just want the card itself graded and slabbed, you have to remove any factory packaging from around it first, and then put it in a penny sleeve and toploader/card saver before sending it in for grading. Hope that helps.

    Sad..very sad. That a card ..that's rare and old and has a bad print from the factory getting a rejection. Usually error cards are worth more ^^ PSA should at least grade a bad printed card as Genuine.... Pfff

    That’s not a beta forest it’s a collector edition. The reverse should be gold with either international or collectors edition written on it.

    Long winded video for 4 answers. Someone could made a short CZcams video and covered all for answers.
