Honestly, pick rate has very little to do with a character’s viability, and more to do with the “fun” factor. That’s why Octane is consistently at the top, even though there are “better” legends

As a Newcastle main he is good and I like that nobody plays him more Newcastle for me
a lot of people think newcastle is a defensive legend. he is not.
I just cant play him well
Newcastles 1v2 potential is actually crazy, playing duos as nc almost doesn't feel fair, especially with prowler back on the ground

Same with mirage. Everyone says he's crap and yet everyone still gets bamboozled especially with his perks now. Ofc you need to play him well, but he's very underrated imo. (and his rez is op)

Legend perks really opened a new avenue for legend balancing for Respawn
No it hasn't the s tier legends are still s tier and all the trash legends are still trash legends since EVERYONE got a buff Noone has gotten stronger. The weaker legends need buffs
@@JJoh4040 I agree and disagree. I think someone like Mirage who used to be trash in the comp setting isn't horrible now with the perks. Catylst, who used to be in the top the past few seasons, got few small upgrades to keep her in line with everyone else. Mad Maggie, who used to be trash, is now one of the best legends in the game with her perks.
you are looking at this wrong. Yes everyone got buffs but alot of legends also got nerfs like catalyst for example. Her perk buffs only make up for the nerfs she got this season. The same can be said for one of Bloodhounds perks. I think overall it is better balanced. @@JJoh4040

I totally agree with this, but i think pick rates reflects what ppl find fun. Like im a pathy main not cuz hes really OP but the movement is really fun to learn and use
I've been playing Straight Shot exclusively and absolutely loving it. I haven't seen a single Catalyst all week but there are Ramparts in every match
Wattson is S tier but its still rush meta in ranked so she'll stay at 2.5%.
p2020+hammers and an alternator with disruptor rounds is my favorite loadout this season

I don't play ballistic usually, but I had a crazy 4k game with him, but caustic was on my team supporting like a champ

The reason I like apex is every weapon is genuinely balanced and good. A P2020 is just as viable as any other gun, you just have to be able to use it properly. I can sometimes get knocks late game with it even without hammer points but I know for damn sure I'm not utilizing it as well as I can with other pistols.

Been having a blast running rampart with a 2x4 sentinel, and a volt.
I think the main reason people don't play rampart very much is because there's absolutely no way to play at a high level like you do without a custom controller or special keybinds/macros. For someone playing on basic equipment, rampart plays MUCH more slowly. And people don't want to dedicate time and money to get a modded controller and practice tech for a character they dont already like, when the baseline for other characters is so much higher

I still haven’t seen a mirage that was impactful for his team based on character (not just gunplay). He still doesn’t have the best rez, although the hp regen is nice if he takes it. And his abilities are still somewhat transparent, they just get used more often now.
Tier lists as a whole are flawed in their concept: it’s “a list of personal biases based on experiences and motives”.
Are they ok for a basis to understand power levels in a game? Yes
Should you actually trust them past being a pointer list? Absolutely not.
Make your own opinions, and you’ll have a better time.

I picked up Ash recently. Her perks that she gets makes her a strong mini recon I really like. Really helps you get to the next engagement and her tactical upgrades if you pick one or the other are really nice. I didn't think I'd play Ash alot this season, I usually play Crypto or Conduit.

That’s correct , team composition matter, all legends are good if you invest time to master them .
"Any legend can do great" This is true, because of how game works. If it was like in Overwatch or other hero shooters, where gun choice is locked for specific hero, then there would've been very bad and very good characters. But because mid legend still can use S tier weaponry, said legend can still perform great. Also the fact that in Apex legend abilities are more of a utility and cherry on top rather than a win condition, unlike other hero shooters, where a good coordinated ultimates would win you a fight no matter what.
For me is very simple Vantage, being casual (60h/5 years) :
1st Always available sniper with mid/CQC weapon of choice in other slots ,
2nd good movement so i can get out from hairy situation easier .
3rd Recon capabilities (with new update i can get into blue armour fast and have bigger chance)
Got myself Steam Deck some time ago and installed Apex since its works great not even knowing about the update , having a good time its tough but fun.
Ive played apex on and off since launch and one thing Ive always liked about the game is everything feels viable even if some options are a bit stronger than others.
Every legend has a use case, and the only gun I wouldn't use is the current iteration of the charge rifle. This is technically true in most games, but I feel like I can succeed in apex without following metas to a much greater extent.
I find it quite sad what they did with the charge rifle. While it technically is higher damage than the sentinel, having both travel time and drop-off takes away all the unique upsides it had.
Objectively it‘s not bad, but it‘s so awkward to use.
In the end, skill is the most important equalizer.
That doesn't mean P20 is good, or that you won because of P20, but that you won DESPITE the P20.
Hey i have a question whatbdo you think of titanfall as an apex player cause i play titanfall more than apex but i enjoy apex i just like titanfall 2 more if you like apex more i mean no hate i am saying this cause someone started an argument wirh me saying titanfall stole from apex even tho titanfall came out first
This is the best tier list this season because that is 100% spot on.
New season is fun the perks add new playstyles, skins look cool even tho they are recolours. But the armour changes aren't very fun to try and get
Personally, I use them to try different legends from time to time if they're not my main.
So funny seeing people running around with seer while I have the real season 4 flatline skins😂

I don’t really fully agree. At a certain rank tier you have to look at team composition. And some legends are better than others. But to be honest…currently the game is flawed…too many cheaters and cronos users.
I love mirage nothing to me feels better to me than bamboozaling someone. Then suprising them from another angle. Bamboozels for the foolzels
I enjoy playing Legends with low pick Rates so nobody picks me my legend

Most of all Legends are pretty good no one over power, if they pick rate is low, it's because base by difficult how they play, and back again playstyle, not all people at same party has same playstyle, especially whos playing pacing slow with defensive playstyle, im solo queue but yeah mostly people play aggresive it's hard for me to do it so yeah im kinda slow.
1vs3 with p20 …. You kinda didn’t mention the fact 2 of the kills were using the most powerful weapon in the game 😂
