I'm Celtic but I admire Nate Diaz for both fights against Conor. I salute him. What a slug-match.
And in a way, I was glad to see Conor humbled because he was getting embarrassingly over-arrogant. I'm sure a lot of Irish were even turning their backs on him for his completely over-the-top big mouth and personal insults. I don't care if it's "all part of the show". Champions at the top of their sport should know that they both have the ability AND the responsibility to be better role models for kids who look up to them, and ultimately to leave a better legacy for the world.
Conor should know this. I'm really glad to see him having some *genuine* respect for someone/something/ANYTHING at last.
It is also the height of a champion, to be able to salute your opponent. Sincere well done to both of them for this now.
