- A good wasteland motorcycle needs a matching Wasteland rider, so in the spirit of the world's end, we transform my old motorcycle helmet into a Mad Max helmet dream!

The helmet I used is an ICON Alliance Dark motorcycle helmet.
Knowing how to make your post apocalyptic helmet only takes your imagination. I was originally inspired by Fallout, but you can see I put in my own Mad Max/post-apocalypse spin.
Please don't use this video as a guide for a street helmet. I plan to wear this helmet only at events such as Wasteland Weekend, not as an every day helmet. Drilling, painting, and adding objects can be a danger and either impede your vision, movement, or fall apart and cause others harm.

When I was painting 'Citadel Minatures' , I used the ''dry brushing and ink washes' techniques. if you don't already use them, it's worth a quick look. The helmet looks great.

The Scorpion EXO-R710 helmet goes for around $200, BUT the Illuminati graphic version has been on sale for $125. I hate that Illuminati graphic. So I'm thinking of buying it and painting it the same as your Fallout 4 inspired paint scheme before you went post-apocalyptic on it. I love the matte white and red design you gave it. I never painted a helmet before. It will actually be my first motorcycle helmet ever. My goal is to be ready to ride in a few months. I'm more into sportbikes, but I love your channel regardless. That rust...wow! I have just a few pieces of recording equipment attached on my otherwise bare helmet and get lots of looks/questions... I can't even imagine how many you'll get! Oh and I forgot the fact you made your bike wasteland looking too - ha! - get your business cards/"spam cards" ready because everyone's gonna be stopping you lol.

Perhaps you could even look to getting a visor that has the gold reflective stuff on int and make it look warn or something to make it a little more street legal. or just move to a state where helmets are not required and you can wear that and some sunglasses. still pretty damn awesome.

with the patches / shirts, from what I've seen; keep a patch simple with your name and logo. with a shirt, expand upon that with heaps of detail on the back (pretty much like the examples you included) aka the bigger / more expensive the item, the more detail you get included etc.
Thank you. I've started looking to metal band shirts (as silly as that might sound) because they have so much detail, it's more like an illustration. I'd love to make something like that.

That's EPIC! After you've enjoyed it for a few weeks I would totally consider auctioning it off on ebay or something and use the funds from that to make more awesome stuff and vids!
Random suggestion: I think it would be super cool too use bits of old, cut up motorcycle tires as armor panels on a wasteland rider jacket. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I have another spare helmet, I may do just that. I'm keeping my eye out for old tires on the side of the road, that would be bad ass on the jacket, I also want to make hand guards out for the bike out of tire!

I like your design, albeit not being a particular fan of spikes nor anything that can affect the integrity of the helmet and jeopardize its capability to do what it's supposed to do: protect.
Why don't you try with rubber spikes silver painted next time? or some similar materials? you put a good amount of ideas and work on this one.

cut the heads off of bolts and glue them in to flange bolts holes, as long as its costume, drill holes and rivet stuff on (to make permanent) also, have you tried using jb quick? that stuff is AWESOME!!! :p

Thank you! The visor was removed, I might alter the mesh so I can add a way to open/close or add part of the visor, or get some goggles.
