Minimum investment is usually $500 and that is enough to start! The sooner the better and keep it safe and simple at first. Blue chips or etfs that track entire markets are the way to go. I just invest in etfs that I trust

I don’t know a lot about them, but just a glance: they have shown consistent growth in revenue, their profits have gone stale over the last few years. They don’t seem to offer dividends, and they have a loooot of debt, which is not ideal while their profits are lowered. Overall, I couldn’t say yes/no either way, but their stock price history is as good as anyone
The difference is that the S&P 500 is the 500 largest public companies in the us whereas the total us stock market is virtually every public company in the USA. That is the main difference
