    As of August 2021Vangaurd Personal Investor will be charging a $9 brokerage fee per trade. So if you are investing small amounts on a regular basis i would look at another provider.

    • @dansplained42

      Any platform is fine to use, for larger trades I tend to use different brokers, but for my regular, fortnightly purchases I go straight through vanguard

      Hi mate. There are several. It’s best to jump online and look at the rates for different brokers. I posted a video going over the best broker apps for investing. Some of the info may have changed, but it gives you a great blueprint of what to consider that will best suit you

    • @dansplained42
      @dansplained42  Před 2 lety +1

      When do you think that will be? Point being: time in the market is always better than timing the market. The right time to invest is asap. The earlier you start, the better. If you invest regularly from now on, you will be able to always buy into the market whether it’s on the way up or down and you should win overall

    One quesion: im from europe but
    wouldn't it be better if ETF reinvest those dividends instead of paying them out? (here where i live theres 19% div tax)

    • @dansplained42
      @dansplained42  Před 3 lety

      Absolutely! Not all etfs and brokerages offer automotive reinvestment which means people need to do it the self. But yes, absolutely it is best to reinvest dividends. Firstly to avoid paying tax on them and secondly to continue to grow your holdings.
      If you don’t mind me asking, which country in Europe are you from?

    Mate you are investing in ETF and you constantly kept saying index funds ... They both are slightly different. Now vanguard charges 9 bucks brokerage per transaction on every ETF via their portal. So imagine you can doing weekly investment of 3 different ETF as you are suggesting, you are spending 27 bucks a week times 52 weeks. That will be a whopping 1400 bucks in brokerage. You need to invest in Index funds whose code is different
