My favourites would be Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart 8.
Mario Kart Wii was my first mario kart and never forgot about it.
And I desire to play Mario Kart 8 one day.
But Double Dash is my favorite forever. Controlling 2 characters in one big kart throwing special items that could cause more chaos than the other items was so dope at the time.
I hope Mario Kart 9 brings at least, a mode dedicated to that.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the way to go. You should also get the booster packs.
Seeing the improvement and difference in technology in Super Mario Kart 1992 and Mario Kart 64 in 1996 is so mind blowing. Awesome what four years can do.

I use them for my little brother who always wants to play games we don't have money for! He has a blast but isn't actually playing lol
Solely because of Deluxe, Mario Kart 8 completely steals the spotlight of all the games made prior.
But to me, nothing beats the original, 64, and Double Dash (which that one is still the most underrated game). DS and Wii are good, too.

kinda crazy how theres no real "bad" entry in the series. sure, there is definitely some that are better than others, but i wouldnt really call any of the Mario Kart games "bad" by any means. just a solid series all the way through

Mario Kart DS was my first Mario kart game, Super Mario Kart was second when my parents had the SNES and game, Mario Kart Wii was my third game, Mario Kart Super Circuit, i played a bit of that because it was my friend's game so i borrowed it for 3 days, Mario Kart 7 was my next one, and then Mario Kart 8 and Deluxe. i haven't get a chance to try Mario Kart 64 or Double Dash sadly. I really want to, even the Super Circuit since I really haven't got a chance to complete it.

I actually like Mario Kart 64 and Double Dash the best. Don't get me wrong, I like the newer Mario Kart games, too, but I believe they are a bit unfair with Spiny Shells, Red Shells, and Lightning strikes. It seems like you get trashed constantly with items.

After Mario Kart 8, I refuse to get any newer ones that come out. The old ones are still a fun time, though, but 8 has so much that I genuinely think Nintendo have peaked with this series
