I can’t imagine spraying a 2nd coat back to back 10-15 years ago when I was in the booth full time.
If I did this it would be “SOLVENT POP CITY”.
I did paint my Nissan Cube (1/2 the vehicle, high metallic blue), it’s been over 7-8 years since I sprayed an automotive base coat clear coat job, the newer base blended effortlessly, and this was a colour I painted back in the day, it would have been a struggle to blend, but it blended super flat, smooth and clear, metallic laid perfect and effortlessly. Clear went on mint, was very easy to spray. (Keep in mind I’ve been spraying a single stage urethane industrial coating for 13 years now daily).
Do the newer clears work like this?… you can pound back to back with no problems?
I haven’t been in the booth for over 14 years. (Did it 11 years full time).

I might be a bit spoiled cause I work for a pretty large Chevrolet dealership with very nice collision facilities. But your booth seems pretty small. Is it actually small or is that just the way it appears on camera?

Textbook job gunny! That is exactly how a lot of Axalta’s clears want to be applied. They consider that 1 1/2 coat. Keep up smashing out the jobs sir love the content
