Lori probably liked the family as well and didn't feel comfortable letting Daniel control them alone, when he rejected her partnership she knew that Mark would be more than up for throwing in a offer even though he opted out.
how is he gonna grow his business while working for someone else? he has a lot of work to be done, plus you have investor(s) who want their money back and plus some.

@@tonirvd3650 you grow it by scaling that’s why the sharks are the way they are most business are “small scale” like even a few hundred thousand in sales etc is a good sign a product is a good idea but not that it’s super profitable or it will take off. What the sharks bring are attention deals etc they can scale the business to make 10x the money. But it’s not a guarantee because this is business in America there is not guarantee people will want your product 5 years from now if they like it today. So in order to make sure the high risk deals are worth it the sharks have to give what you would consider a bad deal. When in reality if they can hit 10x for the company then everyone will be happy and well off from the deal. Unfortunately most shark tank deals do flop somewhat so a lot of the deals that the company’s get really cut into their success.

make these for sports like football, basketball, hockey, cricket, etc, etc. Making in large numbers will bring the price down and at a lower cost, they will sell like hot pancakes outside stadiums, bars and pubs where people come to cheer for their teams and watch the games. That's just one more maket.

Quitting a stable job is a very big thing to ask. I just love how Mr. Cuban and Ms. Lori gracefully asked him to keep his job and run business as well. Mr. Cuban is undoubtedly my favorite shark. All the best to Foam Party Hats owners.

I don't think he meant it to be rude, I doubt she took it as particularly rude, but in a way it could be seen that way. Throwing her the bus in the sense that he's valuing having more shares and more influence himself over collaborating with Lori which could be better for the company, but mean lower percentage and less of a say individually for him.

because the mother holding 80% is a status, its not like she undermines her son. they are family, the 20 80 is symbolic more then anything, her money is his money, his money is her money.
in the family, if someone needs something the other one helps. also the mother is on the creative and custom side, I don't think she can negotiate and argue with retailers, with wholesales, with manufacturing, going on the sites, quality, trademarking these are tough and very non agreeable venues for a sweet older person like her
@@MrDragonorp Well it's fair to say that the points you've outlined are assumptions as we do not know this about the mother's personality to be factual. I wouldn't say they are baseless assumptions though, as one can get that impression based on the interaction we see between her and the son and their given backgrounds. However, depending on how flexible the son's job is, especially in a time when ppl are working from home, a lot of the things you've outlined such as trademarking, negotiating etc can be done remotely holding the back end of the business together, while the mother overseas the operation on the ground, marketing of the product and so on.
These hats are gonna be great for quinceaneras and weddings there’s always a photo booth and sometimes their props are to tacky, and the energy and hustle these two are showing is 100% living the American dream congrats to them 🙏🏽
