I loved that Mark Cuban gave them the right feedback to save their business.
Cuban knows his stuff. That advice could have saved them everything. Better to run one store well than three stores poorly
Yeah but these sharks used covid as a reason not to invest in them man
@@edcarlson6871 not a bad reason lol they're looking to make money and change lives - not save lives.Period. That's just business; it what it is.

Sad story :'
No it’s because he wanted the final shot on camera to be of his cereal company shirt and not FUBU.
Just goes to show he didn't put that shirt on because he was genuine about it, he only wanted to try to manipulate Daymond. Glad it didn't work.
Daymon said he would be stopping by. That could mean he might find a way to help them.

Honestly if they get their one store right after the pandemic (or now I guess), they could be huge in major cities. I hope they’re still open.
Just looked it up and they have 3 places open in Vegas. So it doesn't look like they've expanded out of Vegas, but they have opened locations. I can see they could be very popular with Vegas tourists as well.
@@doperagu8471 they actually have another shop in Arizona. So they might not have sky rocketed since Shark Tank but I guess they were able to still expand and stay afloat.
And they 100% need they're own store, being closed because the mall is closed is a major reason why they wouldn't invest.
@@adingdingdiiing6740 yeah I looked it up aswell and they are doing fine, they still have the 3 stores and have slowly built the business, their net is over 1M now
I saw this in vegas when I went. Didn't go in but they had a lot of customers
Their business is actually doing amazing now! I’m moved by their story, and happy to know that they continued to build the business. Sometimes you think you need an investor but like they said, they’re hustlers and they obviously figured it out.

@@edcarlson6871 This businesses already exist years ago. They are cereal places, they have all the cereal you want with milk and tables, this is nothing new.
@@edcarlson6871 COVID didn’t kill any business. Our own government did that.
Crappy cereal filled with poisons is what got them to the top.
Straight away taking off Fubu shirt in front of Fubu owner is the highlight of this clip. 😅
That's definitely an uphill battle, especially during a pandemic. You can't plan on opening up other stores when the one you have is already losing money, then the contingent plan of opening up a new store on the other side of the street hasn't even taken off yet. I know you need to take risks, but you also have to be smart.
Wow where’d you get that from?
That's great solution solving skills. Some people are good at finding solutions to problems and others are good at finding problems to solutions.
Dumb idea
Woah dude where you'd get your MBA? You're so smart.

I think what they could do is just make that into a food truck (for now). Maybe simplify the menu as well. At least they'd get some cash flowing and they won't be losing that 8k a month.
UPDATE: Apparently they opened a new shop in Arizona, so I think they pushed on with their plans. Well, good luck to them.
GREAT IDEA.....
Exactly!! I hope they read your comment 👊🙏

They were honest in showing their vulnerability - whether it was about her job that she got fired at, or whether sharing their financial details.
Investors were also not able to give more specific advise than just tell them that they need to hold on to their last 40k! As if they didn't know that..
In that context, I hope they pivot to a minimal cost model (such as a food cart) with just their time resources. They will grind it out.
Adversities bring the best out of people.
There used to be a cereal bar in Philly called Cereality that had similar offerings but did not have the shakes...As for this couple, I like them and hope they succeed in their future endeavors.
Couldn’t agree more! How’s that business doing over there? Is it busy?
I saw one on tv years ago .
"Cereal Killer" sounds like a great name but for a business that's going attract a lot of kids, a lot of parents are not going to be comfortable with the word "Killer" when bringing their kids. Maybe it's stupid but you gotta think of these things if you are going to succeed in business.
Very good point

Yeah I've heard them say multiple times already in this show that you can't open more stores and location if you haven't gotten the existing one down. Which completely makes sense.
Mark gave some true to the heart real a** advice that hopefully they considered to be valuable.
"As Cereal Killers, you did not kill the pitch. So for that reason, I'm out." - Barbara maybe
I went to high school with Chris burns and played basketball with him. Him and his wife are extraordinary people and love giving back to the Las Vegas community
Even though they had a emotional story to reel in investors, my respect is immense for them, when they were turned down, it wasn’t cry it’s all over, it was doesn’t matter “one bowl at a time”.
Agree 100%. Chris looked like he really listened to them and took their advice to heart and wasn't upset that they were out. He seems like a cool guy, I'm glad they're doing well
Feel so sad for them, the sharks were so blown away by the taste, and the numbers aren't their fault, it's Covid's fault.
All the more relieved I felt to find out that at the moment, there seem to be four stores under their brand, which is pretty great!
Really? We’re going to blame COVID for a product best suited to kids on occasion?
@@omnientertainment5852 What aren’t you understanding about the video? It’s definitely COVID’s fault. They literally were closed down because of it.

Barbara getting roasted in every shark tank comment section is my life blood.
After reading your comment, I only have one thing to say: I'm out!
And for that reason, I'm in!
So I was on that train for years. My sister once asked me if I did my own research or if I only followed the Barbara meme.
The only honest answer I could give is that I only liked attacking Barbara because everyone else was doing it. I did some research and found out that Barbara is the third deal closer on Shark Tank. I was stumped.
I don’t know what to make of it because there is usually a truth behind memes. At least I thought there was. Apparently I was just a sheep following a crowd. Lol.
@@TheRealBizWiz Well, in most situations, she is usually out. Now it's fair to say that she can do what she pleases with her money, and it is a tv show in the end, but you can't say that it's not funny when you read 10 comments and 7 of them are about being out, each in a different way.
@@kidkidu2
Oh the comments are funny. There’s no doubt about that at all. Where you we were wrong is in your first part of your statement. She’s not out in “most situations.” That’s exactly what I meant about memes having a kernel of truth.
My point is that that traditionally I saw everyone’s comments, and just joined in because they were funny. I didn’t know that the the meme itself didn’t have merit. Now, we can say she’s out for odd reasons, but in terms of closing deals, she’s not at the bottom.
I’m only speaking for myself her. For some crazy ass reason it fueled me to dump on Barbara. It was weird.
At the end of the day, she has way the hell more money that I do. Lol.
Barbara: I eat toast, and for that reason, I'm out!
These 2 are so humble & I wish them the best.
Damn. My heart hurts for them. I wish them nothing but the best.
Yup!
2024 and they're still in business
I’m just glad they ended up opening more stores and didn’t fail
They didnt
"One Bowl At A Time." Love their confidence.
Trying to run this type of business during these times is so hard. Especially trying to leave a mall location to an independent retail is crazy!!! Hope the best for these two because they have a good concept and idea, just one that could be ripped away with people with money behind them.
Selling a sob story doesn't mean you will get a deal. You need a good business mindset.
a sob story gets u into the tank
It does on X Factor.
the story wasnt even their plan to get a deal. the sharks asked for their background
@@uly8131 It's all scripted, that's why they asked and were given a well rehearsed sob story. They even brought that silly looking FUBU shirt.
@@johndong7524 Well, the FUBU shirt was probably brought by him expecting to be able to bribe them... As for scripted all reality shows are partially but...

I think I saw these guys when I was in Vegas in Miracle Mile Shops, this was just last year. They also had cereal boxes of all kinds as wallpaper in the shop. Didn’t get a chance to go in but it looked 😋 and if it wasn’t them, it was the same concept
Barbara waiting inside of one of the cereal boxes waiting to tell them she is out
Erryone was cerealsly out on this one, including Barb.
I’m always conflicted when one of the sharks doesn’t want to invest because they have a similar business. Especially in this case. Not sure where Lori’s other breakfast oatmeal stores are at, but I doubt a cereal store in Vegas would negatively impact the oatmeal stores. On top of that, the cereal aisle at a store is 50 feet long and everything is owned by 2-3 companies. A handful of companies own the car market. Apple makes their own earphones and still owns Beats. Fast food is owned by a couple of players in the market. It can work.
She is not the owner of the other companies meaning she got contracts with companies including what she should and should not do to not offend against the contract like a prohibition of competition.
Maybe you’ll get my point my english sucks hard sorry. :)
@@moritzworner9545 Oh, yeah that makes sense, Moritz. Never thought of a contest clause to not invest in a competing business. Thank you!
What a lovely point.
@@DBLDQ there is never a clause that stops investors from investing in competitors. it’s an ethical thing to do, and it’s why lori has a lot of respect & integrity

They messed up not investing! This company is huge now! Always jam pack!! Like IN N OUT pack! Lines… the sharks fumbled the bag on this one
Mark's advice was pure GOLD.
This business and locations in Vegas are all good. Definitely a go to spot for sure
rents so high there and they aren't like a cariso where they could afford to take a hit on rent and make it up at the slots
Great knowledge & feedback for anyone starting a business from step one
Maybe if they made it into frozen products that one could instantly eat once it's open, it would work

Wow these people are inspiring. Its not about where you start, but where you can ascend to.
If they concentrate on that one store they have. I really think they can be a great hit. Imagine all the kids throwing themselves to the ground kicking and screaming for their parents to buy them a treat when they pass by that location. Its really a win win.
i hope they will succeed. Persistence and prayers!
Just an update for those who dont know. I live next to one of their locations and it's always busy. They are killing it here in Vegas with new locations on the strip.

She eats breakfast but only 3 times a week and for that reason she's out
I dont like it when the people pitching have a whole "feel sorry for me" story.
That's usually part of the bribe sharks don't give a shit about your sad story they just wanna know if they gonna make money I never understand it either it seems to work sometimes though
And the stoopid sad music they play is pathetic
Yea same … it kinda ruins it for me
Producers encourage them to tell it. Also producers are tell the sharks questions to ask to get those stories
Okay, I have been to this place in Vegas and IT'S FANTASTIC!!!!! AMAZING vibe and awesome customer service
They're idea was actaully way better then what the title suggested, i guess its cause the sharks are very experienced business people, they probly didnt get the answers they wanted to hear.
When millionaires say "this is amazing" "this is soooo good" makes me Wana take a bite of it so much
Thats what theyre hoping for.
I wouldn’t have invested either but, for the first time I kinda feel bad for people. They just don’t know what they don’t know
theyre still open every day...im happy for them
Well at least the sunday is great and the fact that they doing their best from the ground just makes it even more amazing.
Honestly... I'd rather eat cereal and watch cartoons at home.
Yeah how the hell would you be able to concentrate on the cartoon with hundreds of kids and parents making tons of noise? Only if they were able to eat the cereal/ice cream in a movie theatre while the cartoons were playing with a minimum of noise and conversation.
I’ve actually heard and seen this company people love it ! Never even knew they where on shark tank lol
Visited them in Las Vegas tried them with my family we loved it I’ll definitely recommend them Cereal Killerz🖤
