Only the speaker has the authority to enforce the standing orders.
Why should he resign for doing his duties?
If members want to oust him, they can bring a motion to the floor.
This is how the HOC works in a democracy.
Sure it has never happened before.
Canada has never ever had a "leader" like this one before. 😢

Pierre Poilievre should not apologize to the Liberals and NDP governments. How disgusting of this Waco prime Minister and his goones. It's okay for Trudeau to call Pierre Spineless??. Sickening.

Why was MP Rachael Thomas kicked out? The speaker asked her to withdraw her statement. She replied, “Mr. Speaker, I stated that the Chair is acting in a disgraceful manner, I withdraw”. Yet, Fergus kicked her out

I think the role of speaker is of such importantce, that merely the perception of bias should be sufficient for the speaker to relinquish their post. I think somebody who shared this respect of the position would agree with this and would have willingly surrendered the position already

To me there is a clear distinction between "spineless" and "wacko". The latter is a direct slight at the Canadians suffering from mental health issues. And the fact that we're even talking about this because this is the level of debate we've all been dragged into by Poilievre and his posse says something about our collective mental health. It's all very sad.
