I’m using this stick and a Ken main! This video was made for me! 🤩 Thank you so much for all your wonderful work!
Have you compared the lever to a Sanwa lever? Is it not to loose ?
@@TheLaw210I just got this stick yesterday and tried out the stock lever for a couple of hours before switching to a sanwa jlf. The one it comes with isn’t bad tbh it’s pretty similar to the sanwa the only difference is I have an aluminum actuator that makes it have a slightly lower travel time compared to the other one so I can do quarter circles a little faster. I also switched cause I prefer an octagonal gate over a square one and it’s kinda hard finding one for the hayabusa that isn’t 3D printed and from China lol. The one thing that I definitely am switching out are the buttons, these feel too sensitive like i click a button sometimes just by hovering my finger over it and the all black gets a bit confusing so i got some multi color sanwa buttons.
@@dbzcollector9963 thanks for your answer. I put a Sanwa in my 8bitdo as the default is really bad so I’m a bit afraid of hayabusa ( known for being more loose)
@@TheLaw210 it’s actually not that loose it’s pretty close to the sanwa and on mine it has a bit more resistance than my sanwa but that might be age. I would have been fine with the hayabusa if I could get an octagonal gate for it but that’s really the only reason I swapped it out. You could probably just replace the actuator with a slight wider diameter to get less throw if your worried about it being loose tho I don’t think you’ll need to since it’s a decent stick.
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
This was a really nice dual upload of reviewing the stick and showing it in action, while also being really informative for making combo trials more approachable! I appreciate the work you do man!
appreciate you❤
I absolutely love you and your videos! I have found you when looking for beginner arcade sticks and loved your patience in explaining and humbleness.
Bought this stick on its release , I have been watching most of your videos introducing how to play with a stick. Thanks a lot man ❤️
how are you liking the stick?
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Just found your channel a few weeks ago and I already got my first mayflash and upgraded with Sanwa parts…thanks so much for keeping this channel going, really love the content.
F500 coming in for fathers day 😂
happy you like the stick, is a great value
Glad to see you’re back! I’d love to see a video of your hand / button movements during an actual match; curious how execution looks in a non training mode setting
let me add that to my list, thank you for the idea
i hope you upload more often these videos are incredible. Answers all my questions at a nice pace. I feel like most fighting game content creatures never slow down when explaining things. 🙌🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽
appreciate you❤happy to help, i will continue to do help
Just wanted to thank you for making such informative and approachable videos for newer players who are interested in getting into fight sticks
Anytime my friend ♥️
Great video idea. Showing off the capability of the stick while also showcasing the new game
thats what i was thinking lol thank you
Awesome video. I agree with everyone that a video of you teaching hand placements and how to properly use the arcade stick would be awesome.
i have 1 in the channel, check out how to use the stick video,
Great video to show how the stick performs! Need more videos of you on the sticks cause you're a BEAST!
appreciate the love and support
Just watched the review of this stick and lemme just say, I'm happy your back with more content. I know you've been working and I respect that. Glad to have ya back. Also, F these trials. Lol. Those last 2 for Ken's destroyed me! 🤣
thank you, glad to be back, kens kinda annoying with that running thing
Your execution is sharp AF!
You're very calm an collected. I would like to see a similar video against an opponent, where you don't know what is coming. Do you also lift your fingers off from the buttons then, or do you play differently? I'm asking because I don't know how high level people can react so quickly with DI and Parry. I want to improve my game in that regard, but for now by the time I reach the 2 buttons it's already two late. Please make a video on this!
This video deserves 1 million views. Simple math the game has 2 million copies sold and 50% players uses Ken, and there's no better video for this trials on CZcams.
Lol , appreciate you 🤣
Thanks for your new vids on this stick mate 👍
thank you
This is the best combo trial video I've seen for sf6. Would love if you could do Guile the same way.
i will add it to my list
one of guiles advanced trials is really insane and had pros taking 20+ minutes haha.
Once break it down, it was alot easier to absorb, check out my video ♥️
@@JoystickNY I saw your guile video earlier, very well done!
Yuck a guile gamer
Thanks for your reviews
appreciate you❤
New subscriber here, I found your channel after recently purchasing my first fight stick.
Your content is amazing and has helped me tremendously, on this new journey!
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Love these!! New to fighting games and got a fight stick for christmas...so fun! Looking for a luke combo guide like this...😅
I love all your videos you areso underrated
appreciate you❤ thank you for the support
Thank you for the tips on learning the combos
anytime my friend
A really helpful video the way you break down the combos seems obvious but it's a really good tip that most of us noobs will overlook.
I hope you get way more views as there hopefully will be a bit of a resurgence of fighting games.
appreciate you, thank you for sharing
I love the vibes of your videos.
appreciate you❤
Thanks for breaking down the combos! Makes them more digestible
appreciate you❤
I see we are back with videos again after seemingly a while. Thats awesome man! SF6 is brining all the good folk out to play :)
yes, we back
@@JoystickNY 🙂
Your motions are so smooth. You make it look so easy. Any advice on Drive Rush execution? Great videos.
practice it separately, practice short combos, and then combine them together
I'm loving the tutorial videos. I'm new to the SF train. Trying to connect the moves has been very frustrating. But breaking it down line by line is super helpful to get used to the moves bit by bit. I'm totally mashing the buttons right now. So, being able to hear the rhythm of pressing the buttons is helping my timing too. Are there different situations when different combos would work best...like when would you use a 3 hit combo vs a 30+ combo? Keep up the great content! Thank you!
Amazing question, its a super long answer question, long story short, the best combos is are call optimal combos, meaning in a given situation and with given resource, which combo will give u the best damage, more hits does not mean more damage or better combo,
For example: with ken, starting with standing medium punch, NO meters.
I believe mp in to Hp, in to light spin kick into medium shoryu is the best combo for that situation, becuz its highest damage combo u can get in that situation. Becuz if do any other combo with standing mp, they will do less damage,
Double check me tho, i might be wrong on that combo, but its either that, or the mp-hp- into running fire shoryu,
Pretty sure is one of them. I will have more videos to talk about these topic down the road ❤️
You're an absolute god for doing this
appreciate the love
Thanks for this vid.
take your time, don rush it
I'm probably gonna end up running through these trials a thousand times to really internalize them. You know the man who practices one kick athousand times and all that. I used to do that in mvc 3 with zero and his charge combos.
cool, finally a new video
appreciate you❤
These tutorials are so cool
It's a shame I can't afford my own arcade/fight stick or even build my own
But I can still apply what I've learned here to arcades (although embarrassingly all they have is Tekken 6 and the controls are nearly broken)
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
Awesome❤❤❤
Thank you for your video, it's very nice. Can you break down Ryu combo trials ? 😄
Another tip is that to do a DP you can also wiggle DownFront -> Down -> DownFront instead of doing a Front -> Fireball. Depends on personal preference of course but Daigo and Nauman has been doing the prior for Ken.
Great tip♥️
Your arcade execution is on spot compare to me. How do you perfect execution like that I guess its years if playing. I envy that. I have a hard time doing the heated rush DP and tatsu that requires a run cancel. The timing is so strict.. You made all those combos trials look like a walk in the park! Keep up the awesomeness!
thank you for the kind words, i have been using stick for a long time
Helpful video! Will there be a cammy trial video though
Niceeeee! Hope you can do cammy combo trial 🙌
Keep posting!!
Thank you ♥️🙏 will do
1:10 this is great tip , i never thought it like that
appreciate you❤
Very cool
thank you
Just wanna say thank you for all the guides. Would you consider doing trial videos for other characters?
will do
Solid part 2.
appreciate you❤
I bought this fightstick and though I haven't put a whole lot of time on it I do like the feel of it so far. I'll get back with you in a couple months and let you know how I feel about it.
The instructions are so clear, you are a good sensei
Appreciate you
Great advice!!! May you do Tekken tutorials as well? Thx in advance!
Possible for 8 ♥️
Ryu trials next? :D great video!
Let me note this ❤️🙏
Amazing
thank you
I'm still stuck on the last trial. Can't get the timing right on the Jinrae kick follow up.
Hope you're enjoying the new game!
sf6 is great so far, still alot to learn, i recommend it
Jinrai my beloved❤
thank you for watching 🙏❤️
I'm on pad & can't get the run into special trials. I either get the special or run, then drop the combo.
Impressive that you got it.
Give stick a try my friend
We'll see. Played in arcades for many years, but never got a stick. Maybe there's a good one. @@JoystickNY
For the final advanced trial, how do you get the two shoryukens at the end to connect? What’s the timing of stringing the jinrai kick into light shin kick into shoryuken? It seems like I can’t get the opponent high enough into the air. Also, is there a required input delay between the final kick and the first shoryuken? I spent 3 hours on this and could never pull off the 2nd half of the combo all together.
Nice
thank you
On the Advanced 3 ( 8:33) I can not get the down HP to combo into the Jinri…I have tried for 2 days now. Why won’t this connect
You made it look super easy.. this is so hard with a ds4 as a SF noob 😅
Time for a stick?😉
Hi JoystickNY, I’ve been playing on stick and come from pad and was wondering something. How do you super so fast and consistently? I notice you do a funky grip when you do supers and would like some insight on what to do. I play Cammy and I find it important to be able to cancel light attack into supers, it feel like I’m like a serveral frames too slow. I can do the super motion very consistently outside of that. I’m having trouble landing the specific combo of jab-jab-standing light kick into lvl 1 or 3 super on p1 side. I can do it somewhat on the p2 side. It was a staple for my pad gameplay when I was burntout and needed to finish someone off a light confirm.
for intermediate 7 and 8 , after the running is there a shortcut for dragonlash? or I have to do full Z motion? I am having diffcult time with this
this video is awesome. i just dont get how to combo from the chin buster into other moves
Practice them separately ♥️
Hi, i need some help, i searched in a lot of videos but didn't found anyone talking about my specific problem, i suck at the timing between inputs, does someone know where i can find guides or any tip that can help me? Thx in advance!
Also how do you get it to say the actual commands instead if the names of the move?
Very good stick imo. Hori hardly disappoints. Bought the Xbox version. I wonder if I can get the street fighter artwork for my stick? Good you are back. The qanba stuff is not appealing to me. ☮️
check out their site for the free download artworks
Hey bud i heard they switched the hayabusa stick switches to omron switches instead of panasonic like their old sticks, im sure they sound different but does it feel different to you?
I've been running this game on Xbox with an American Arcade Control set up.
I'm using Industrial Lorenzo Buttons & Stick. The game has been fantastic!
I have to try those , i havent had a chance
@@JoystickNY
It isn't for everyone. I just happen to be someone to prefers this control type and don't use the common Japanese Parts.
For context I'm using the Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Stick Case, but I removed and Preserved the OEM PCB and put in an XBF. The Brook Xbox fight Board.
I also have a MAS Stick Case from Scanline City that I plan to swap over too in the near future.
Mas and scanlines are great collect pieces 👍
Do you ever use a stickless and if so do you have trouble? I'm fairly new to SF and am having a ton of trouble on intermediate 7.
what’s your advice for timing on doing links for combos? I come from KI, UMVC3, GG type games where it’s extra loose and you don’t have to time normals as strictly, so i’m looking for help
training mode is going to be your best friend, stick to 1 chara for now, and don jump around, get used to 1 chara;s move timing first
Please do combo trials on pad to show what that looks like too!
i will take notes,i can use a pad in general, but def not as good on the pad lol
Thank You very much for your videos, is it possible to mod from hayabusa to sanwa lever on this fightstick?
yes, its the same plug, just remove the haya and drop in the sanwa
I just bought an arcade stick and I’ve been having a lot of trouble on doing a 2x quarter circle to super. Is there any video that can show how to get used to arcade sticks and input/executions?
check out my how to use the stick video, see if anything helps
I usually just do the part I haven't seen before, practice getting good at it, then move along from the top
Yes that is a very good approach
Hey im New into the SF franchise do you have any tips to help with the Quick dash combos um keyboard players but it's really hard to rindo the tuning um always too late
They made it easier now, u can hit a button and press parry to cancel
I have the stick. But I fell in love with modern controls. It’s just more fun.
i have to try it too
I have the razer panther evo. Was thinking about this one what do you think?
i think you will be good with the evo, dont spend too much
im seeming to have a hard time with canceling into supers when the time for the input is fast like the heavy punch to od hadoken to shippu jinrai-kyaku.
Imo, i think you want to do them separately, if you can do them sep 10 times in a row; then you should he able to do it all together, cuz the motion is the same, unless u r panicking with the input
I’m stuck in high silver with Ken 😅 got there with pad, but trying to use this stick now. The super inputs and the dash out of crouch mk are tricky for some reason. Send help
take it slow, slow down your inputs and u will get better
You know, it would be really awesome if you could make a video video with a pad controller. Because i dont know how someone can be able to do the drive cancel on controller.
let me take note of that, you would have to map mp+mk for one of the top buttons
@@JoystickNY thank you, it would be amazing for us pad users to do some tips and tricks for sf6, someone that show us that is not impossible to play this game with a controller.
Im new to fighting games after playing fps for 20 years. Im stuck on 6 intermediate. Recently changed from controller to fightpad and im better at inputs but no idea what the timing is on these combos.
Which fight pad r u using?
I have same issue in trials in SF 4-6. I input quickly and game doesnt react at all. I delay and everything is just slow. I cant even get pass sweep and hadouken because game just ignores my input if its quick like in your case. And yes I have input shown on my screen too. Its correct.
What seems to be the issue? :O I cant really do combos because game ignores the input, instead of canceling first move it goes into recovery.
Austyn can u answer my question really quick pls, in ur opinion, what is best controller(d pad) for fighting games
i wouldnt be the best person to offer that advice, as i havent use that many dpad, but i really like the ps4 controller, and i don like xbox controllers
@@JoystickNY can u review more d pads in the future please, like the victrix
I can def expand my videos to pads also down the road
@@JoystickNY thanks a lot man 👊
how the hell you shoryuken into lvl 3 intermediate 13? Would be nice to show inputs
I should have done it with handcam 😅
Are you replacing the square gate with the octagonal gate on this stick?
Mostly not ,i mainly use square gate
3:07 I'm having so much trouble always too late he already on the floor. I'm using the same timing as of canceling a heavy punch into shoryuken. Not sure how to get any faster I tried 6QD23P still not fast enough. Any tip?
That 1 just input the running and the shoryu together; dont wait, basically press KK straight in to shoryu
@@JoystickNY Thank you. I was able to get it done a few times but still not 100%. If I press KK too early before Ken finishes his spin the dash won't come out. Looks like the heavy spin kick won't cancel into QD I had to wait a few frames before pressing KK and that timing was what I am working on. You were the only one showing the button press timing in this trail big thanks that helped a lot.
Anytime friend
We need one for Manon and Cammy please!!
Let me take a look tonight when i get off work. ♥️🙏 thank you
Still cant the timing down for the punish into run dp/dragon lash
Do it a few more times, it took me a few tries to get the timing down
Thx for the content. Hey bud between the Mayflash F300 Elite w/Magic Boot VS Quanba Titan. Which one would you choose?
For which console?
Xbox or pc i would go 8bitdo
@@JoystickNY PS5 actually that would use Mayfair magic ultimate adapter to make compatible. Now I'll check out the 8 bit do arcade stick if you think it's good
8bitdo don have it for ps yet, i would say use your mayflash for now
@@JoystickNY thx man. I trust your opinion. I'ma order that Mayfair stick now.
Wait, how much is the mayflash?
Dont buy it yet, how much is the mayfash + the magic boot,
I thought u already have the mayflash,
the last one (advanced 4) is literally driving me insane, i think there is something fundemantel i'm missing.
the f+LK timing is inhuman, and the double DP seems impossible too
Try them alone, it takes abit of time to get used to the timing, possibly maybe like 1 in 4 or 5 tries for me to hit that
Are you using classic controls or modern?
I would like to see a video of your control settings please 🫡🙏
I just use the default 6 buttons
Punch punch punch
Kick kick kick
How to I find the timing to connect the combos? It seems whenever I’m trying these I do the correct input but it doesn’t count. Am I too early or too late? Even when I’m in the middle of a combo spamming the button it get blocked
Keep trying different timing, break down the combo to make it easier
Happens to me too. I think my major mistake is that I do right hand too early, kick or punch etc. , like I punched before finishing the direction commands, so check that.
Then there's only a particular window you can input to connect hits (cancel) so it's a rhythm game for this part. I think the frame timing bar will help a lot.
@@_m1mosa ahhhh that makes sense too. I think im so pressed to get it to connect im not thinking about how im even doing the inputs
Anybody have any tips for landing the second Dp on Advanced 4. I can't land it to save my life
Try dp earlier or later, one of them sends ryu higher i think
How do you consistently do Shoryuken on the arcade stick?
I would say its the way you do shoryu, once you learn the proper way, it can also be the gesture, if you have a friend that can show u in person, it will be the easiest, have you check my how to use the stick video? Also try with diff gesture and see which fits
@@JoystickNY I haven’t seen that video. But I will look for it. :)
Some minor experience with street fighter and I STRUGGLE landing these combos lol anyone got tips for a newb? Also just picked up drone 2 stick I want to get better with it!
check out my stick guide see if any thing helps
Hey bro long time no see. How are u liking SF6?
i like it so far, still learning
Man im stuck on number 10 im doing the dash an spin kick be its saying i didnt do the dash
Double check it part by part, when we try to do the whole thing, we miss a line sometimes
Any tips on getting that cancel after ⬇️+m in intermediate 10?
Instantly forward forward press M punch,
@@JoystickNY wow, the➡➡ really needs to be fast! started working after turning the game half speed.
Any advice for improving accuracy with the stick?
Did you try changing your gates? Also, practice makes perfect.
@@Wrekkshoppe my stick has a square gate, it is actually the same model from this video except it’s the xbox version.
I can get everything perfect in training mode but against other people I mess up.
@@TheGothGaming That's just practice. The stress of a match just adds an extra layer of difficulty that will naturally melt away with experience and practice. Even players like Daigo struggle with this from time to time
Just keep playing, if you can execute it on training mode perfect it's just pressure getting to you during the matches. It's a different environment when your opponent is hitting back.
i would say practice and over time the muscle memory will kick in
I hate that you chose Ken but I still watched to support/maybe I can learn something 😅
😂 whats your main ? I m still trying out and see who i really like, i usually start with shoto to get a feel of the new mechanics first
@@JoystickNY no it makes sense, did the same with Ryu, I just hate Ken rn bc he is too good haha 😭 (mainly his wakeup options like invincible ex dps 😵💫).
I main Chun Li! And I am learning Manon so I can also touch one of the new characters as well.
My errors normally stem from forward down diagonal I cannot get that right
What r u trying to do?
@@JoystickNY at first I was doing the half circle of forward diagonal down forward I knew that was wrong now I’m doing the forward neutral down diagonal
It looks so easy when you play. Do you think that I would feel a massive difference with that stick compared to my 8bitdo modded with Sanwa lever (thanks to you 😊) ? Or it’s just skills.
The 8bitdo default lever was a bit loose that’s why I switched to Sanwa, I’m scared that Hayabusa lever gives the same loose feeling.
once u switch to sanwa, it will feel the same, 8bitdo is amazing
@@JoystickNY so you are saying that I can keep my 8bitdo Sanwa modded? ;-) Why did you say in your 8bitdo it’s good for beginners ? Is there a real plus to move to a more expensive arcade stick? Or is it more a question of confort (taking into account that my lever was changed into a Sanwa)? So basically my question is can I be as good as with the Hori one? ahah 🙏
Yes you can, it will be the same if you modded them,
When i said the 8bitdo is great for beginners is becuz of the price, is 89$, is great for new comers, who dont want to spend alot to get in to fighting games, 2nd, by default, the 8bitdo does not come with sanwa parts out of the box, those parts are not as good as sanwa imo, but once you modd thr parts to sanwa or better parts, the stick is the same as the hori or any other tournament stick
Edit, there is no plus for a more expensive stick, just that expensive stick comes with more stuff like detachment cable, can open up without screws, headphone jack, artwork placement, led lights, etc
But most importantly is the parts
@@JoystickNY Thank you so much for your answer. And congratulations for your videos! You are one of the best CZcamsr I know. Your work is always clean and we feel how dedicated you are to your passion. 🙏
Keep an eye on the next video, i made the combo trial video on the 8bitdo just for you
I'm an xbox player and I just ordered a TE3. Do you know if I can plug it in directly, like my TE2 KI stick. Or will I need a brook?
You probably need a controller or buy a Brooks adapter
First off, send that TE3 back to the seller. It's an overpriced, crappy fightstick. But yeah, you need a Brook adapter.
@@Wrekkshoppe yeah listen to him , that stick is a mess
As I have all the TE's, what makes it a mess?
@@Solidus-JDI hate to be the bearer of bad news but the TE3 and the current Madcatz are a scam. It's not the same company. They were bought out and the people that bought them are using the good name Madcatz had to sell a very mediocre stick for the price of something very premium. The TE3 has about the same features and capabilities as an $80 Mayflash F300. They both require you to plug in a controller or have the new Brook Wingman FGC ($50 and sold out often). I really would try to return it if it's at all possible. If you want more details on it's negatives, check out the breakdown video from Jasen Hicks. Dude is honest and wasn't sponsored by Madcatz to trick people into buying it.
