    This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, this is so much easier than the compositing process through Photoshop, thanks a lot

      Seriously…it really is. I just feel like you can be more creative using Blender for photo editing. This tutorial was fast and a quick demonstration but seriously there is unlimited potential with this style of workflow. I know it’s only a matter of time before it’s more widely acknowledged

    The feet touching the surface is always the most challenging part, I’ve tried motion tracking it, rotating the plane, keyframing em and they just don’t come out the way I want em to 😢😢

      It really matters how you film the footage originally making sure the camera angle matches the CG camera angle 📐

    Love this video, super helpful! Do you have any tips for making the image look realistic in a laying down position? For example laying down on a bed. I'm wondering how to "fake" the weight on a 3D object.

    • @purpleparkstudios4124
      @purpleparkstudios4124  Před rokem +1

      In the past i placed a green screen on a couch and had the subject lay on it. I didn’t have to fake the weight in my particular situation.
      However, you could always use the mesh of a human model to act as the collision in a cloth simulation on your 3D bed to get the bed to sink the right way and then match the image as plane up to the end result of the simulation. It also really depends on how much movement you need while on the bed.
      There are definitely multiple ways of doing it however. You could always just place the actor on a real bed in front of a green screen. I would suggest experimenting with a few different ways. Now you got me wanting to try that shot haha

    Does anyone know why when I use cycles, a texture environment and an image as a plane, it does not emit a shadow, it probes by removing the texture environment and illuminating with lights and it works, but when I activate the hdri it does not emit a shadow, any solution please?

      @@purpleparkstudios4124 Yes, sorry dude. context: I am trying to integrate a plane with alpha (Chroma key) in blender, I am using an enviromentl texture as lighting of the world, when I use the environmental texture, the plane (ground), where my character is does not reflect a shadow, but When I remove the environment texture and only illuminate with point or area light if it reflects shadow on the plane (ground), that is my problem. I need to cast shadow using an HDRI environment texture , thanks for answering me

      Hmm, in the materials property tab in Eeve there is an option to make the image as plane alpha hashed and set the bend mode to alpha hashed also. This makes the shadows work. Not sure if that is there is cycles also but it’s worth looking. You may need to create a shadow catcher in Cycles but you shouldn’t have to do that. I’ve used images as planes in cycles a few times and got shadows no problem. What version of Blender are you using??
      Hope this helps some

    • @sebastianodibusti
      @sebastianodibusti Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@purpleparkstudios4124 Yes, in eevee there is that option and in Cycles I read that it comes by default, but I am surprised that this problem occurs, I am using alpha hashed in the image as image as plane material, in the meantime I had to render without shadow, when I finish I will try if I add a shadow catcher, I am using blender 3.6, thnx mate

    • @purpleparkstudios4124
      @purpleparkstudios4124  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Interesting. I may test it out myself and see if I can figure it out why that is happening for you. Shadow catcher would probably work
