It's great to see Todd back doing Todd things. All the PDD crew are real legends!
That's a huge decision, taking a beautifully running truck that does everything you need well and changing the formula for a race. I wish you well and will be watching closely. I hope the end result is still a good street & tow rig. Oh and reliable!
I really enjoy watching your guys videos, working with cummins qsk 19 and ktta 19 , and L9's . My last 6.7 was a 2011 , now 2021. My first automatic transmission, in a everyday driver , but anyways watching your videos, shows me how to squeeze every bit of power , being able to keep it reliable. So thank you Todd , and your whole crew , i would love to stop by your shop and check it out.
I'm with Josh, glad to see Todd going to compete. Todd...sounds like the build is going to be solid, so get ready to give Josh a hand, lol. Myer, Will, you guys are next year.
I put the largest magnaflow muffler I could find on mine and it a tab quieter and seems to flow better.
Reason I swapped was: I did a dpf delete on mine. The clamp let loose and my factory muffler dropped and was drug on the road a bit and got destroyed.
I used Magnaflow PN#12773 to replace the muffler, and
Magnaflow PN#12770 to replace the dpf. Though this did not make a noticeable change in sound level.
I was aim for as quiet as I could without adding restrictions.
Magnaflow is pretty much a straight though pipe that's perforated internally. Does not get much less restrictive than this.
Hope some find this info useful. Probably wont get many likes if any.
Awesome video guys i can't wait for the tairdown and rebuild keep the videos coming 😀
As always God bless and stay safe 🙋♂️🇬🇧
Awesome guys ! I can’t wait to see to see the race 😈💪🏻👍🏻
Man that is such a beautiful kit. I would love just to have the piping kit! Hopefully one of these days I can get one clear up some smoke and get my egts in check once and for all!
You can do it!
@@pddofficial sure hope so I really really need it I have bought and learned a lot from you guys thank you!
@@pddofficial I would love to know how much power that setup is making before the egt's go over 1300.
@@pddofficial yes yes
@@bcbloc02 yeah that would be nice to know I'm running about 1700 degrees just playing around with a s366sxe
900+HP tow truck . Deadly setup.
Love it can't wait to see the new upgrades
I’m soooooo stoked to see this thing
Sounds like Josh and I have different definitions of fun. I love wrenching on stuff, hence the never ending project list but I don't like breaking stuff. I guess at that power level it is something you get used to doing and you don't worry about the expense. It's kind of funny my Dad did superstock racing back in the 60's but he hammered being careful with money into me even though he's the opposite.
Wow didn't realize I was so far behind on your vids. Time flies when you get busy.
Your truck and the 12v Myer built in the second gen are my favourite builds
1000hp is my guess. I love you guys video’s
900hp minimum probably above 1000hp all day I love your channel
Curious the mileage you were getting while towing your RV? What year 6.7 did you guys use in the truck?
I think I need those towing options in my life...................but the exhaust braking features though, gotsta still have that
I’m interested in using those studs in my 2008 6.7. I do have just a hair over 200,000 miles on the clock. I do not have any head gasket problems as well. If I do the one at a time install, would I still be OK with my truck being high mileage?
Were you running the compound kit on the 5.9 as well? If so how was it and do you have a guess on what power that was making?
👍💪 Cool vid and project. 😎
Awesome unit
Id leave it alone, 960 hp is insane for a relatively stock truck. Fond another doner truck to play with.id love to replacte todds truck.grdat job👍🇺🇸
I love the drone
924whp where’s my pdd swag hah😂 awesome build!
Do you have a build list for the way she sits right now? Love to read over it for a strong tow pig wish list.
That sounds like a solid 1085hp to the wheels
Awesome job, 964hp with k27 and s472 👏👏
He said big turbine He351 I thought instead of k27
@@bcbloc02 gotcha, missed it, TY bro
So I have a question how much hp/torque will the transfer case handle
I really wish I could bring my truck out to y’all to do some work on it.
For the stock HE351CW, what kit do you sell or recommend to do the 67mm exhaust turbine upgrade? How would that run as a single? The mega cab is perfection!
There is no kit the whole modified HE351 is custom
its time time set a date to bring my 05 dually there boss
What gear ratio does ruby have and what size tire are you running?
Do you have a build sheet for Todd’s truck? I’d love to build my daily tow rig the same way. I can provide an email to send a build sheet to if you do have one.
Big fan of yalls real life pros and cons. My wife and I just spent her pension (when she was a DPD) on an 07 3500 4x4 with a 5.9 we thought we where getting a great deal but unfortunately I didn't know about the kettle check for blow by. It died as soon as we got it home. Its been our dream truck so I'm going to fix it we spent everything we had to buy it (my mistake) so we are going to fix it ourselves its going to be my daily driver. What rebuild kit do you recommend I'm familiar with gas engines so this will be my first diesel engine rebuild and hopefully I can do it in frame as Ive seen Josh do a time or two. If you could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated I believe we are going with Bosch Injectors. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance
Bummer. I feel your pain. I just bought a '06 2500 Quad Cab 6 speed and engine quit after I drove it only 759 miles. As we were taking it apart to find out how bad it was, it just kept getting worse. Ultimately, bought it from a super shady dealer in Portland. They knew it had problems. We found a brand new head gasket, two new injectors as part of a total mix matched group of injectors, and obvious damage to head, valves and cylinders. The new headgasket obviously means they had it apart enough to see all the issues and put it back together and sold it in really, really bad condition rather than fix it. So now I am trying to scrape up the funds to get this thing back on the road. Only took me a little bit of thought to decide to stick with the truck and build it up. I looked around and decided to go with DFC longblock. Everything is backlogged right now, but hoping by mid December or early next year to be back on the road. At this point, with what it is going to cost me, I am just trying to focus on having a good solid truck that will be just about all new that should last me the rest of my life when it gets finished being built back up.
I love these trucks
Josh what transfer case chain kit do you recommend I need to rebuild my 05 3500 who should I order one from I would really appreciate your input love all your videos they're great.
Call into the shop, we can get you the parts you need.
Do you ever change the oil?
875.....that was a guess at the 5.9 HP.....all bets off for 6.7.....1100? DIRT!.....Closer with my first guess
Was there 45% overs in there for dyno run?
is this the death of Ruby and the rebirth of Super Ruby.? haha maybe RubyClaw.!!
1300hp Todd is awesome 👍
How can one get the ingredients for such an amazing do it all tow pig build that Ruby had prior to UCC build? Great content Todd
6.7, 60% over injectors, our towing compounds modified he351 over a s472, optitorque head studs, stage 2.5 push rods, PDD 4.5k springs and an air dogg200gph lift pump with 12mm stroker pump
I like Ruby just the way it is, but if you guys are going to do all that how much do you want for the engine? I need 1800 lb ft of torque!!!
Haven't watched the video yet past the intro yet, so I'll guess 742 HP.
Nice unit 1050 HP, for a guess @20 psi
My final guess before the dyno results was 850 HP...
So if your company were to build your truck as it is before all this new stuff you are going to do to it how much would labor and parts cost? Approximately? I would love to have it done.
Around 50-55k
I really need to biuld my 04 like that. Plan on a flatbed. And paint exc. Right know very rough body. 110 k on the clock very few miles
Good luck!
Actually I have another question. I have the 04 305 version of the 5.9 but it is common rail. Vp 44. Now my question is the chain drive t case is not all that strong. Would it be better to swap a np 205 in place of the chain driven I'm thinking it's a np 207 correct me if I am wrong 2004 ram 2500 qaud cab 4 x 4 auto Trans I'm thinking the 48 RH. Will the np 207 handle 600 hp and all that torque. Or will I end up stre coming the chain and replacing it. Please your opinion. Thanks. I really like your red ruby.
I have said this a couple times know I'd say around 945 970 hp and 1135 to 1170 ft pounds of torque. Really hard to tell by looking at it. No way to really gage it.
Sounds like 800hp and 1400tq?
You guys should put a 400 under stall and a 3.43 rear-end gear set.
And be happy with a bigger exhaust and less drone at hwy speed. Better milage because you drop 200rpm in overdrive. I think with the lower 400rpm stall converter and rear re-gear you will be surprised how it feels. Though you loose a little power to the ground its not a truck you are biulding for 100% competition plus you gain about 80-87 miles per tank EASILY. so i say try it and thank me later.
My guess is 899hp
Edit: halfway through and I believe I guessed way too low😬
I would say around 1135 hp. 1485 ft pounds feet of torque.
1100 HP!
862hp 1521tq 🤷♂️👍
Let’s see 1500hp/2500tq fuel only. I think that is a good place to be.
Ok my geuss on horsepower compound turbos 1037 rwhp.
800hp 1800ftlbs is my guess
765 Horsepowers
What tires are these on the truck ?
nitto ridge grappler
My guess is 850 hp on that pull.
900hp. Dyno spun up pretty fast.
Yes it is a amazing setup!!
@@pddofficial I'm still watching the vid and haven't found out yet how close I was with my guess.
550
What size injector is in there- no way they are 45% over
Yeah I didn't hear them say what they went to. At least 100 or 150 overs I would think
My ultimate towing rig would have more torque than horse power 😩😍
Dt466
975hp
I'll guess right around 850 hp
My guess is 802 HP
I would guess around 1100 hp.
Guessing 780hp
You say nobody can beat you, I would like to see you try to beat Tom Bailey's Camaro .... Reality check for you.
