I've got a 22lr 416 and the MP5... they're great. They're both so much fun. If you haven't considered the spring upgrade kit for the trigger pack yet from hkparts, I did that to my 416 and I regret nothing. Happy shooting!
I had the HK licensed Walther made mp5 in 22. Great little gun. I almost wish I didn't get rid of it but I'm kind of glad I did because I could only find the rifle version with the big ass fake suppressor shroud that screwed onto the end of The Pencil Thin Barrel.
I have had my MP5 22LR pistol for a about 2 months now. I love taking this gun to the range. So much fun shooting. Get people asking about it quite often and saying they need to get one now. 😆 SP5 is next on my list. Great vid 👌🏼 👍🏼
@@societyisboringyou did that for me. And facts my father has the 22lr mp5 if you remove the fake suppressor their is barrel all the way through. Definitely a rifle
I adore the fact this exists! My gunclub only allows 22lr, so I love the fact that 22 renditions of larger calliber pistols exist. I'm particularly fond of my 92 FS in 22.
Great!! Now I have to get one, no way around it. I was out plinking the other day and had can of expanding foam that was plugged up. I shot it in the middle of the can, wish I had thought to shoot bottom to top, going to take some out for my Great Grand children to try. Its a hoot.
These things can go over $600 depending on where you buy it from. I have about 900 into mine with extras that are on it. But regardless of what anybody says to the contrary, it’s still an HK.
It may say Umerex on the rifle, but dollars to donuts it is made by GSG Firearms (German Sport Guns), they have had multiple 22LR MP5 variants out for years. I have one myself, probably going on 2000 round or so through it so far, and has worked like a champ.
@viper29ca GSG loss the lawsuit, they had to redesign it to keep production. The Walther/Umarex are actually marked MP5 and are more reliable. Never got a jam over 10 years
@@virtuaguyverify We ran into a few stovepipe failures on mine at around 4-500 mark. Turned out some debris got under the extractor. Cleaned it and flawless since.
Saw this at Scheels yesterday. I purchased the Ruger 22 Charger. Brace attachment ordered, as well as the brace. Have to figure proprietary mags and upgrades in the equation. My 2nd choice was the HK in either rifle or pistol version. It's all good.
Is it possible to Exchange the handguard to a Surefire with integrated light or maybe the midwest industries Mlok handguard on the 22 since it’s not original h&K ?
@@co44256 I almost bought the rifle version at Bass Pro a few weeks ago for about $500 but I thought the fake suppressor looked weird and it is not threaded. I found a arm brace that slides like the real ones only thing it they want $329.99 for it where I spent $349 on the whole gun
@@kevinkimbrell359I live in the communist state of Colorado. Apparently according to the PSA rules they remove the magazines because they are over our 15 round limits here... I think that it is stupid because it is just a .22lr... But I was able to order some through my FFL and we also have a stupid 3 day waiting period so luckily for me the shipping on the magazines is 3 days as well so when I can go pick it up tomorrow I should also have my magazines
Tbh a .22lr mp5 kinda makes sense, still a pistol caliber and the mp5 wasn’t known for power but accuracy. I’d prefer the 9 in a fight but 22 is good for small game and any gun is better than no gun for defense, put a can on it and it’s actually good as a stealth option since .22 is quiet as death from a suppressor
Curious if you bought this randomly off the shelf or if this has been provided to you for T&E? There are a lot of reviewers out there that have their guns supplied to them by the manufacturer or distributor and that always raises the question of whether the gun has been gone through completely prior to shipping to ensure it working perfectly in order to garner a positive review for how well it performed. This isn't saying they are directly asking for a great review, but if the supplied gun works perfectly then it likely will get an honest rating even though the method was to supply a truly flawless gun to test and evaluate and is not necessarily indicative of what anyone might randomly purchase off the shelf at any local shop.
SB tactical TF1913, you have to have a pic rail to mount it on though. Custom smith makes an adapter but it says in the description that the 1913 series isn’t supported because the footprint of the brace is too small but I’m going to try it on my new mp5 22 8.5 inch barrel anyway. I’m along the lines of what the description on custom smith says that it could be installed improperly. It just looks too cool to pass up!
You say it’s not made by HK. Yes it is. It is not a clone. It is a real HK. Because HK owns the patent the design the rights to the gun and they pay a civilian company to make it in 22 long rifle. It is every much an HK as the military version. Even the military HK is not made by the military. It is made by a civilian company contracted by the government. So the 22 version is a real HK. And everybody disagrees is wrong.
Had the privilege to shoot MP5 & MP5K full auto when I was in the forces. Just really nice to shoot on the ‘happy’ setting 😛👍……. Not legal in my part of the world & I Definately couldn’t afford one😞👍‼️
Why cant we have the A3 stock like Walther had available when they made the HK MP5 .22? They were $ 40 back then Id love an A2 also for mine Someone needs to srep up
I went shooting yesterday and I got to try out an MP-5... My GOD it is amazing. I brought up my AR-9 and was shooting it and it kicks pretty good, the MP-5 has like no recoil. I was always skeptical about spending $2000+ on a gun just for a little recoil reduction and always felt 9mm didn't have enough recoil to justify it, but I was wrong. I will be getting some roller delayed goodness.
I know they call this a clone. But it is still a real HK. The military doesn’t build the military HK as they contracted out to a civilian company. And these HK 22s is done the same way. It’s a civilian version. But it is still 100% full-blown HK.HK contracts to that German company. And they build it to strict HK standards. So it is 100% HK. I have one of these.
I feel like most SMG's just don't have all the features I want, which is why I'd rather build it myself. At this point, it's really just about getting the looks right and executing the design ideas I have accurately.
I own a H&K 416 in 22lr and absolutely love it. Its probably as close as I'll get to a big boy H&K for some time but its just so good.

Go Miculek on the single action trigger it may be faster than the binary.
