It's not a firearm. Often confused by it's similar shape, but this is an ammunition disassembly device separating the projectile from the casing, thus rendering the ammo "no longer dangerous". I outfitted my m&p 15-22 with a double tap trigger, it is super fun but less than reliable honestly. What really sets the Franklin aside is the ability to abort the second shot if need be. Never really needed that function but it would be nice to have. That being said the double tap was $100 less than the Franklin.

@@charlesfriend9557said, _shooter picking up a binary firearm, making a safe shot, and releasing trigger with accidental discharge!Look dad, I hit the can ,exiitedly turns for approval and shoots????????_ If I understand what you're suggesting, is that someone fires, keeps the finger on the trigger while turning around "for approval" and then releasing the trigger and firing the 2nd round while the gun is pointed at the dad. There are some other issues here before talking about a mechanical safety. No one's finger should be in the trigger guard unless it is pointing down range and ready to fire. Your scenario where the child turns for approval with his finger still holding down the trigger clearly breaks that rule, too. In addition, he shouldn't be swinging the barrel around toward people. So he's now broken TWO safety compliance rules before we even get to the issue of also consciously using a separate mechanical safety...and that assumes the gun has one. There a number of guns that do not even have a separate manual safety.
Watched this video and had to get me a new BFS3. Install was a little in-depth on my factory 10/22 carbine with 16” barrel. Little filing and polishing was all. So, not exactly drop-in but not exactly complex either, IMO and YMMV. Love the set up. Next steps will be a billet receiver, tactical stock, and maybe a barrel once I finish the original off. Love your vids!
Really cool build. I would have loved the price breakdowns of each component. And I got to tell you I think Hickok 45 would give you a thumbs up on your target range.
So, I went to the range one day and there was this guy there who had a 10/22 set up on a chassis for precision shooting. That guy showed me his targets and all of those holes were right precisely in the middle of the target all clustered around it. Just as it should be. So, I asked him about his setup. He told me all about the aftermarket Boyds stock, the Kidd trigger system and bolt. He had a bull barrel of some sort on it. The receiver came from somewhere else. I thought it looked and shot pretty dang good and I told him so. Then I said, "So, let me see if I got this straight, somewhere, in a box, is a complete Ruger 10/22 that you rebuilt piece by piece until now you have that one and this one?" He thought about it and grinned. He told me he guessed I was right. He shot for a while longer and I moved down to the pistol range. Later on he packed up and he made a point to tell me he was gonna go locate all those parts and rebuild that stock Ruger 10/22. Then he laughed and said he had some different parts that would improve it some. I just laughed. I knew that pretty soon he would have another 10/22 built and the original still sitting in a box in pieces.
I watched a TV show years ago about a guy who took his favorite hunting rifle to a gunsmith to have it "upgraded". By the end of the show, they had replaced every single part, (basically a custom made rifle), charged him nearly 10k, and didn't even give him his original "favorite" rifle back.
The idea of something happening and having to stop shooting mid trigger pull was my major concern about these things. That safety shut off thing is awesome. Bad thing is now I have no excuse not to get one.

@@joewoodchuck3824 I don't know if there is any truth to the story, but I've been told that the Ruger 10-22 that you get at a WalMart is built cheaper than one you could get at an actual gun store. I really wouldn't need one of these as I am not what you would call a "Gun Nut" but I respect the hell out of people that choose to stock up. Money is always a big decision maker for me.
@@deanstephens5940 I've been shooting literally my entire life and competitively for some of it, and to this day I don't know what a gun but is. There could be something to what you said about unannounced special production run guns. I inadvertently bought a shotgun that way in a discount store once. I hope it's nothing that would ever affect operation however. For the life of me I can't remember where I got the 10-22. Just glad to be rid of it. I got a very sweet 1 MOA Savage .22 lr by trading the Ruger and another low end .22.
A little behind but just installed the 22plinkster binary trigger on my charger. Barrel is standard length with a Yankee Hill suppressor. Amazing accessory for the 10/22 platform. Thanks for showcasing this trigger. So much fun to shoot with subsonic ammunition.
I have a trigger kit that I haven’t installed yet, but I sorta want to get the new drop in one. Out of curiosity, what bolt and charging handle/spring are you using?
I am so glad your binary works. I own several , but my 10/22 version does not work in any of my 10/22s. Franklin Armory tried to make it work , but could not. The 10/22 version does not work in every 10/22 , and good luck getting them to fix or replace.
I hate to say it, but most good accessories cost as much as your gun. For example.... If you buy the best bolt action rifle for precision, target, matches, or even just to allow you to utilize it to its best potential, you will spend near the price of the rifle on accessories to be able to use it to the precision that it can be used. A $2000 rifle is useless until you spend another $2000 on a scope that utilizes it's potential. But then again, this is a lot to spend on a range toy. The brace, suppressor, and sight also cost almost as much as the pistol for each of them. Best advice if you are low on cash, try out a variety of firearms, pick your favorite and then customize it, it's worth it to have a firearm that properly fits you and you are comfortable with. In my opinion, this is just a really fun range firearm.
Reminds me of when I bought my AR for $400.... $2500 later I have a nail driving, long distance hunting, rapid firing, range officer infuriating monster beast.

Had you not mentioned that you had cut down the gun, I doubt many would have known because it was so professionally accomplished. Hey 22plinkster I built my Ruger charger almost the exact same as yours . However I have the take down model and they didn’t have the 6 inch barrel with the take down model so I had to get a slightly longer barrel .. but it looks almost identical to yours .. I love it .
Thank you for making this video ;)
Well there goes another .22 L.R. shortage! This one caused by .22plinkster! (
The headline sounds like a Scotty Kilmer Car channel headline! This changes everything!
Real music! Love this gun
6 months Later: “Guys I’d like to offer another Apology”
I never knew I needed a Charger, what a gun!
Heard that! I'm going to the shop Monday and ordering one. Really liking the Binary trigger as well.

It's just a short 10-22. My 10-22 was a piece of crap. Most of my Rugers have been crap. Still evaluating my Super Redhawk.
Why would anybody want a binary trigger???? That thing is incredible and was busting up on your musical target!! Wowoww. Congrats on you build brother
A little behind but just installed the 22plinkster binary trigger on my charger. Barrel is standard length with a Yankee Hill suppressor. Amazing accessory for the 10/22 platform. Thanks for showcasing this trigger. So much fun to shoot with subsonic ammunition.
i need to install mine. did you follow a guide
I have a trigger kit that I haven’t installed yet, but I sorta want to get the new drop in one. Out of curiosity, what bolt and charging handle/spring are you using?
I came here from a zip22 video...
the amount of relief seeing a gun that works so well compared to the zip is just bliss to my ears.
"I just can't quit laughing!!"
Me Everytime I shot my giggle switch 😁😁😁😁
3:55 that was Hollywood quiet, even had some of the impossible sound effects
Dont trust the video to represent it accurately, CZcams uses audio compression that cant be turned off and affect all audio quality.
It's good to see a man have so much fun with his gun. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice trigger.. and the red dot is always nice!!
I've always been interested in the 10/22. Now I like it even more
You get a "thumbs up" just for the Sesame Street martians. I love those guys!
Nice sweet lil setup👍🏽
That would be my home defense gun
.22 is a great option
would love to see this gun in 22 mag awsome Ruger love that selecter switch cool video
I need one of these!!
Cool For backpacking probably the best option out there for backpacking small and light .
That 6 in barrel with the can is the perfect setup.
Video idea: you use the binary trigger and go against Jerry Miculek with a normal trigger. first to dump the mag wins.
Somethings telling me Jerry still wins.
Jerry would beat him with a bolt action rifle still
I wanna see jerry use a binary trigger
Jerry has a video using a binary trigger
Jerry has a video up of him trying to use a binary trigger, his finger is too fast for it.
That looks SWEET! The Ruger .22 is such a fun, versatile lil' firearm 👌🏾
Sent many a sage rat to their ancestors with mine
3:06 you heard it. We need to mill or drill weight reduction holes in a 10/22 bolt. Please do a video on best bolt weight.
Through the roof, phantastic!!
That was one of the coolest videos I’ve seen in a while.
Thanks
Awesome stuff there dewd, I'd love to see a detailed parts list of this build. I could glean that information from the vid...butt......
Very nice 👌 set up and very nice video.
I know how to fix that problem in your mag # ruger issues
I custom made this bushings for that.
I am so glad your binary works. I own several , but my 10/22 version does not work in any of my 10/22s. Franklin Armory tried to make it work , but could not. The 10/22 version does not work in every 10/22 , and good luck getting them to fix or replace.
The Division 2's Exotic rifle "Merciless" is real?
What a time to be alive.
Lol
Looks like a lot of fun.
This is friggin incredible ! I was giggling like a 5 year old every time you lit it up. Saying again! Again!
You are Sooooooooooo spoiled to have the range, ability and resources for a ' shooter's life'! Good for you! Love your channel!
You go boy!
*I NEEDS THE TRIGGGGGEEEEEERRRRRRR........*
The trigger is not available in: CA, CT, DC, FL, HI, IA, MD, NJ, NY, RI, and WA

Florida man sad
@@borednarmed5612 Same...
Gotta do the drum dump with this baby lol I need this setup I love 22's.
I bought one. Butler folding stock- (no longer made)-- 50rd mags- FUN!
$300.....
Ouch, that's about the cost of my entire pistol
@President Funny Valentine D4C I got this fifty inch TV on DealDash.com for only .99. Don't you just love those commercials?

@@F2PRunescapeFTW Crazed; Expensive ain't always good but good usually is expensive. ;

“How did you get shot in the leg grandpa?”
“Well it was the summer of 2020 and a new trigger came out...”
Sounds like Grandpa didnt follow gun safety ,How do you get shot in the leg with a rifle ....?
Okay that’s funny
Oh shit thats so true! I could see me doing that with that trigger
@Leopard Boas nice? lls NO, she's beautiful
@@1badombre82 can definitely see someone doing that

I gotta get one of those thanks for video
Watching these videos in honor & memory of my firearms that I lost in a boating accident while hanging out with @Confused Voyager.

You're a Bad Dude my boy!!!!
Always love .22’s
That last shot sounded like a musical instrument🤣🤣 awesome
Xylophone
That can't be the ultimate Ruger Charger because the ultimate one is in my safe but....I need that trigger! You need my address?
You can get one for $299
He's mailing this one to me, but you can always wait until next time or just buy one.

It’s the little giggle after the first mag dump for me!
I think I have one more magazine😁😁. That trigger set up is a proper paradigm shift,it grants a new level of lethality to a .22 "semi automatic ". Not to mention so much more fun, fun, fun!!!!!👍 a new subscriber 😁
Dang looks like back ordered for months!!
Does it only fit the charger or 10/22 full size as well?
@@freedomfighter1861 full size too. Want one for my 10/22 takedown
Just 'this much' too late, damn it! Video's only been out an hour...
I love your enthusiasm, you really are enjoying this, and it's easy to see why!
Had you not mentioned that you had cut down the gun, I doubt many would have known because it was so professionally accomplished.
This configuration has so very much to offer, fun being a particularly large component!
The Binary Trigger offers a degree of versatility like nothing else, like you said, truly a game changer!
Thank you for your excellent video's.
Copper Custom adapter for an AR type stock and register as an SBR plus 22 LR suppressor. Perfection.
I love 22’s. They’re accurate, reliable, low recoil, cheap ammo & consistent.
HUH!!! 22's are too small for SHTF ! Said no one ever
Ya! But add the bionary trigger to a Sig MPX K9 and 30 round mags and oh man 2.8 seconds dump of 9mm. It’s like having a full auto MP5.
The 22 is the assassins choice. One shot to the back of the head and no exit wound.
They worked for me
More people have been Killed by 22's than Any Gun Made..
@@randybeard6040 yes sir. Because it is a very common gun
Btw to the other above prob could carry thousands of rounds. And it's an all around gun. Can't hunt deer with one but I will guarantee you could kill one. Ruger 1022 for me. Light accurate and mostly reliable with right ammo
Fast forward to the ammo shortage/price gauching of spring 2021 and buying the binary trigger is the cheapest part of all the fun you have with those magazine dumps. When you set the trigger for binary mode, there should be a sending unit that makes a dollar sign appear in your red-dot!
wonderful stuff
