    I promise myself not to buy another watch. And what did I do? I saw a Seiko SGEG64P2 on sale for HK$610, about US$78. The next second I bought it. It's a quartz. But still it's a Seiko. Can't argue with that

    I have to admit, no one does Chinese specials like you! You are a real danger to my wallet as some of these Chinese watches are simply too good to pass on. My small savings account for my future Seiko purchases is in real danger! As always, nicely done! Will you also take a look into cheap Chinese watches with Japanese quartz movements? How about the likes of Parnis? Though I know their watches are more in the range north of 80...90 dollars!

    JOMW: YOU ARE LETTING the cat out of the bag! I have more than one Chinese made watches. Some are less than decent, some are very, very good. This particular Cadisen dress watch is an exceptional watch for the money. They also have a very nice chronograph on Ebay right now for under 70 dollars. I have had them both and they are excellent, especially for the bang for the buck. i had purchased a few Russian made Soviet watches and I said to myself, what does China have to offer? In taking some chances, (for not too much money), I have been finding out, and I am impressed!

    I was very impressed with the performance under the hood on this one. The Chinese certainly continue to up their game. This will certainly put pressure on competitors in the cheap watch category made in other parts of Asia and Russia. Put this movement in a simple oyster or diver style and make it water resistant to 100/200M and they'll put Steiner out of business.

      The flip side of "how do they do it?" when discussing Chinese watches is "how do they get away with it??" when discussing Swiss high end pieces.

    • @iutlu
      @iutlu Před 6 lety

      Ron you have a lot of things to consider when talking about Swiss high end pieces - quality (there's no guarantee that this chinese watch wont break after a 1y due to poor construction of its internal parts or will get unregulated), original design (say what you will but what most watch brands do is to produce watches based on a swiss model - ex: submariner), percieved value - it works like the stock market, it is crowd mentality, a swiss increases or doesnt lose its value.

    • @arkiepoo
      @arkiepoo Před 6 lety +2

      There’s a lot more that goes into to a watch than just the base materials. The finishing and hundreds of hours of fine craftsmanship is what costs the big bucks.

    • @TheBadGuy1974
      @TheBadGuy1974 Před 6 lety +13

      Sure..........................

    • @1701spacecadet
      @1701spacecadet Před 6 lety +7

      Razenby But all that finishing on a movement that will be out of sight 99% of the time is no guarantee of any accuracy. A lot of low-end watches can run rings around luxury brands in that regard, as in this case.
      It does make you realise that the price tag is all too often based around the name & not necessarily the engineering.

    • @maximme
      @maximme Před 6 lety +1

      1701spacecadet Agreed. none of those "fine craftmenship" did a thing for precision. ...its just a scam when you can't justify your prices

    • @gmansplit
      @gmansplit Před 6 lety +2

      Maxin Mee None of those "fine craftsmanship" do a thing for precision. What? If you want precision, get an atomic g-shock and be done buying watches. Why the fuck is precision relevant? The reason that watches like the Rolex submariner are 9000 dollars is because they are extremely well-made watches that will last decades, and yes, because of the history and brand. Name one watch that is as sturdily built and nice to handle with 300m of water resistance for under 2000 dollars. It's all about the little things with watches like the submariner. The ceramic bezel with extremely crisp action, the movement with a winding mechanism like butter, white gold indices that won't fade, and the time-tested design and resale value that a submariner provides. Also, if you want a high-end watch that truly justifies its price point, look no further than Grand Seiko, not Rolex.

      Mate, Gearbest are a shambles in their descriptions. Full of poor dimensions and specifications. Nice watch, let me know how you like it when it arrives. Cheers!

    Hey pal, 2 questions:
    Why don't you have an Instagram?
    And what's your name? I have watched your videos since the longest but never heard your name before...

      Daniel Orozco Jody is the first name. His last name escapes me.

    Absolute garbage, don‘t think you should advertise it - in the end there might be people buying this crap following your recommendation...
