  • Maintenance on 6-speed DSG DQ250 transmission!
    Transmission oil change / renewal of the oil pan and mechatronics removal and installation using the example of a VW Passat 2.0 TDI, 2012.
    In our video on the DQ250 6 -speed DSG, we go into detail on 3 components of the transmission.
    We change a rusty oil pan, show a quick transmission oil change and highlight the removal and installation of the mechatronics. Here we change the control board and renew the seals on the electronics plug. We also replace the combined oil temperature and speed sensor located under the mechatronics.

    Very excellent video. have DQ250 6 speed gear box that can change from d1 to d3 but does not want to change to D4. But if you jump D4 manually you can d5 to d6. But if you shift down D4, then brings an error with service spanner. Then the car can not pull. Way around is to switch off and start again. What could be the issue.

      Hello Ciprian. Rusu,
      the mechatronic is submerged in oil. There is a vent in the coupling that may leak oil from within to the coupling.

    Hi, I have an issue with my DSG DQ250 09D where the takeoff from stand still is very aggressive and jerky, it’s like someone dropping the clutch on a manual transmission. The problem exists only on first gear and reverse, it basically jumps if you release the brake fast. From what I have read so far online these are the common symptoms of faulty N215/N216 solenoid valves. Is there any way I can check them through VCDS or some program before removing the mechatronic unit just to be sure, there are NO fault codes shown.

    • @VAICO
      @VAICO  Před rokem

      Hello,
      first you should check the quality and level of the transmission fluid. When was the last transmission fluid change?
      You can use the VCDS to determine the individual sensors and the shift pressures. You should check this after checking the transmission fluid.

      Hello @alpermetecevik1096,
      basically you could say it that way, but there can be some smaller differences or variations. The DQ200, DQ250 and DQ381 is build into a lot of vehicles of the VAG Group and you will also find it in Skoda and Seat Vehicles. It's one of the main types for automatic transmissions and depends highly on the needed torque.

      Hi sanders0605,
      it is really difficult to give you any hints about the symptoms you mentioned. Have you changed your transmission fluid or flushed your transmission?
      The mechatronic is a piece of hardware that is monitored closely by the control unit. Problems within that system should be reported in the internal memory.

      Hi sanders0605,
      The way you have described it, it may well be that the control board has to be replaced in the case of the mechatronics. However, we cannot give a guarantee on this defect without looking at the problem directly.
      In our video, we remove the mechatronics and replace the control board. Possibly this solution will also help in your case.
      We recommend that you have this work carried out by a specialist.

      Hi sanders0605,
      If the transmission has only had a simple transmission fluid change after the described mileage, it may also help to repeat this with a filter change to get more dirt particles out of the system.
      We cannot guarantee that this will solve your problem, as it is possible that damage to the mechatronics could also trigger the problem.

      Hello, thank you for your feedback. At time 6:56 we show the speed sensor and its position. We have also shown our spare part with item number V10-71-1277. In this case, we have not included this part in our EXPERT KIT+ because this replacement should be a mechanic's decision and we suggest the replacement at work only as an addon.
      To remove the mechatronics there are actually other components in the way, we have shortened the process as you have already mentioned.

      @VAICO  Před rokem

      Hello Jan Machac,
      it is really difficult to deliver a thorough diagnosis, without seeing the car.
      It could be bad timing that there are problems within the mechatronic after you had the change of the clutch and dms flywheel.
      If it is an electrical problem the mechatronic should trigger an error code in the control unit.
      Do you have enough transmission oil in your system? How is the engine mileage?

      @Jan Machac,
      so you have had intense oil change already. We can rule out the oil when you are checking for the right oil level inside the transmission.
      The leaking in the coupling should not be a problem of adaption. Looking at your shifting behavior as told in your first comment, you should check your clutch and flywheel.
      The mechatronic unit is controlled by a lot of parameters and should report errors when something is amiss.
      Sry, we are not really able to help you right here.

      Hello @redhwaanmorris3768,
      please note that we do not have the possibility to check your car directly. For an exact fault diagnosis, a specialist workshop must deal with the problem.
      According to your description, there are already serious problems with the transmission. In some cases, these can be remedied with the help of an oil change or a transmission fluid flush and filter change.
      However, there may already be damage to the gearshift valves and other components.

      Hello,
      we can't tell which automatic transmission is build into your car.
      Normally we identify the correct transmission with the car identification number, just to be sure.
      But the chances are good that your automatic transmission can be serviced with at least a transmission fluid change. Then it depends on your record of kilometers, but if you've got over 80.000 km on the clock you should do it.

      @VAICO  Před 2 lety

      Hello Botsalano Lekgowe,
      your description doesn't sound very healthy for your transmission. The shifting behavior could change when doing some serious transmission service. When changing the transmission oil you need to check for metallic abrasion. If there is a lot of abrasion in the oil, damage may already have occurred in the gearbox itself. Our recommendation: Consult a specialist for transmission service and repairs.
