I see your point of view regarding the impact of Oasis on British music in the 90s. Anyway, Oasis remains a throwback to the past, a somewhat uninnovative band that did not contribute anything truly significant.
I like Liam; he seems to be a decent bloke, but the influence of Oasis is quite limited. IMHO, they are mere Beatles copycats without the brilliance of the Liverpudlians. Their impact outside the UK tends to be zero.
Talking about brilliant frontmen? Iggy Pop, Bowie, Lennon, James Brown, Otis Redding, Little Richard, Elvis, Nick Cave, Tex Perkins, Bon Scott…I mean, literally thousands over Liam.
