Yup, one of the greatest tributes. Seminole Wind addresses important themes such as environmental conservation and Native American heritage. The song's message about preserving the natural world and respecting indigenous cultures resonates with many listeners, giving it a timeless quality.

Many years ago the Jacksonville newspaper had a music critic who was a young black female. She didn't much care for country BUT, she LOVED John Anderson. She described his voice as a smooth glass of bourbon. I've never drank, so I can't comment on her comparison, I just know he has a great country voice, deep, smooth, southern.

John Andreson has a very special quality to his voice. If you haven't checked out "Just a Swingin'" you should - it was a gigantic hit for him. A little bit of a novelty song, but it was one of those songs that just stayed on the radio for ages. Great comment on genres holding on to their essence. Totally agree - and Snoop summed it up when he commented on how so much of the rap today sounds exactly the same. Give me Snoop or Rakim or KRS One spitting clear lyrics and telling stories any day!

This is what I have to say about the whole country thing, it has never been one to be closed off to anybody. It is always welcoming. I mean, goodness Ms. Lynn did a duet with Jack White, he produced that album and they won a grammy. Are they going to set there and say that is not country, no. I think the fear is, like you said Britt, is the saturation it can cause. But i honestly think, that there would not be that saturation. I have watched many people younger then me react to the songs and artists that i grew up listening to from my dad and it makes my heart smile. I firmly believe, true traditional country will always be around. Heck, there is the grand ol opry that has at least 3 shows a week if not more.

I find I like some Rap when it is used in some songs ... maybe as a bridge. Pink has a song like that. Oh, and I need to understand the words.

This is what country music should sound like, not like a bunch of more recent stuff they call country but really isn't. Although, I do prefer uplifting lyrics to heartbreak songs.

I recommend Randy Travis' "Forever and Ever Amen." It was my mom's favorite. She grew up in the country and said the lyrics "as long as old men sit and talk about the weather and as long as old women sit and talk about old men" was so true.
By the way, if you haven't, I hope that you'll listen to BTS' solo songs. They're in the military right now, but they've been releasing content the entire time. Jin and JHope will be discharged this year. The others will be dischargedoing in 2025 and will be reunited.

Is it easy to two-step to? Is it easy to waltz to? If it is, it might be country music. It gets more complicated when we bring in swing-dance and line-dancing. Peace, Love!!

Since your diggin country and enjoy Leanne Rymes you should check out Sara Evans , Ithink she has one of the best voices in country music . Just a little bit longer is a great tune
