Talkin' about old, I'm pushing 70. When my grandkids were just kids, I use to tell them that when I was a little boy, color wasn't even invented. No blues, no greens, no reds, no nothing. To prove it, I showed them old movies and TV shows from the 50's LOL

I'm 63 this year, no more 25 pound max weight back pack for me. I built a 4.5 foot by 2 foot wagon, with one foot tall wheels. I like comfort, far from people, and with this wagon I can haul 75 pounds of stuff deep into the forest to my favorite fishing spot. I stay one week per trip, and use a tent & air bed covered by a 20' by 20' tarp. Six one gallon milk jugs filled with water, frozen, will last for almost a week before completely thawed - in a good quality cooler. When you get old, adventures are just as important for your overall piece of mind, but comfortable adventure s better. Outstanding videos Corporal.

I have a potentially stupid question. In warm weather, how do you keep your food cold so there's no issues with spoiling? I would imagine that you're not lugging a big cooler around on a Bushcraft overnighter. Love your videos. That are a huge inspiration. Thank you for your service!

happy birthday. you joke about being 115 and doing this. my Grandfather's grandfather at age of 69 (I am 65) settle a land claim in Nebraska in 1879. he built a 15'x15' dugout in the Hills of Mars community. He lived until he was 104 and was found with his hammer in his hand next to his forge. My grandfathers dad built a dugout in the same area and raised 5 kids in it until they were burned out the second time and He moved to Tulsa OK. As a kid I dug holes in the ground and covered them with trees and dirt as play forts. Bushcraft was not a thing in the 50's and 60's but it was what kept us out of trouble and very busy. I appreciate your channel and I do hope you have many more years in the woods.

I have always wanted to do a survival course, 2 years ago, I got a 60th birthday surprise from my wife. A 5 day survival course there were 16 people at the start of the course me the oldies by far but the only 1 to finish the course which made me proud, I think the youth on the course through I would be one of the first to go. I think what made me stay the course was watching people like you thank you. I course was run by a man called lofty wiseman of sas fame over here in England.

Some of your bush craft I just won't try here as we've got way too many fucking venomous snakes and spiders around but the ones like elevated beds etc I'm definitely going to give a go.
