@@matthieubazen.3137 Lombardo was the man who wrote these drum tracks from some dark and twisted alternative reality. There is really NO band like the old Slayer, that's why they can't exist now. It was a big loss to the music world when Hanneman died and Lombardo couldn't be a part of the band either

In all seriousness they're all great drummers. I personally enjoy the performance aspect of Delta's covers because the music moves me similarly as a drummer. Also the camera angles, sound, and editing are so pristine in his videos

In this live format it's even harder. At the end, you can see what it does to them as they gasp for breath! There must have been a thought running through that head like "Jeez, Dave Lombardo must be crazy or something!"

I NEVER comment on any of these videos..... BUT this guy is incredible !!!! Slayer should have gotten him when Dave left. Imagine going to see Slayer and hearing this guy hold it down in his black hoodie, gloves, and mask. Think how hard these drum parts are to begin with. It's even harder with the added outfit. IMO far better than Paul. Radar3814 is correct about the transition from the two songs. I saw Slayer for the first time back in '86 at the Ritz in NYC and they opened with Raining Blood and went directly into Angel of Death. There's a video of it on CZcams although the sound quality isn't that good. First of many amazing Slayer shows.
I've seen Slayer more then any other band.. Around 10x or so over the years. "I saw SOD live at Budokan" at the Ritz I believe in NYC in 92. It was the year I was getting out of the Navy and was stationed in NJ.
Your 100% right about Paul. He could never hold a candle to Lombardo and Slayer was worse off for letting him go imo. This guy is really good and would be a fair replacement for Lombardo so long as he could keep it up the whole concert AND do it nightly on tour lol!
I saw a Slayer show with Paul on his Yamaha drum kit.. Dude it was the worst drumming out of him I'd ever heard.. and that's including other band's I've seen. There's guys out there that love his work but... I'm not one of them.
Funny thing.. I bought Testament's cd around 2000... I listened to it for the first time when I was flying to Mardi Gras. I always really liked that cd for years a bit more than the others.. One day over a decade later I looked at the cover and saw that Lombardo did the drumming on it and the light went off in my mind.. Damn! That's why I like that one!!
