At about 4:48 you can see him set his phone down on the far right, along with the cymbal. I suspect wireless ear buds while listening to a metronome via the phone, and a lot of rehearsal prior.

In my youth, I played in the horn section of a competition drum and bugle corp. I witnessed several amazing solos on tri-toms etc. This reminds me very much of that. Excellent. Thank you.

A few days ago i performed a duet i composed with someone(we were sightreading at performance) on tenors, and neither of us play tenors it went well somehow and this is somehow reminding me of that experience
I named it the disney queue duet because i had no ideas and i wrote it in a queue at disney world

I think the flub drum was one of my favorite parts tbh. It was one of the only parts that was more rhythmic based? I say that as in most of the time, at least at the beginning of the video with tenor and snare and partly bass, it was mostly just chops. I also liked the roller coaster part.
