  • Flashlights are synonymous with preparedness. Whether you a hard core EDC minded person or just want to have a dedicated light for the odd times when it's needed, a keychain or AA flashlight are excellent choices. In this episode, I go through 6 Lumintop flashlights (Pico, Frog 2.0, EDC15, Tool AA 3.0, Tool AA 2.0, and Silver Fox). Each of these flashlight provides different options to address different situations. Do you want something small that actually fits on your keychain? Do you want a keychain light to find the AirPod that fell between the seat and the center console?
What about your personal security: Do you walk to you car in low or no light situations? Parking ramp? Stairwells? Parking lots?
Not all lights are created equal...and that's the point. The right tool for the right job.

Can't say I'm familiar with the brand, but a focus on flashlights are always welcome! I think a lot of folks don't realize how useful a flashlight is on a daily basis.

Chinese brand. Great value. A compact, daily use flashlight is invaluable in my estimation.

I own a couple of AAA Lumintops, use a part of my edc. I can honestly say they are brilliant for every day use and at a price of £10 on Amazon, great value.

Lumintop make a great product, been using a tool aa for years now. Also a gt micro, they may not make the prettiest looking lights but if your after solid dependable torches that work you can't go wrong.

100% agree. I keep going back to the Silver Fox as my daily.

You just got an older version poke lit it’s confusing but theirs like three different versions I didn’t even realize it until after i ordered mine fortunately I got lucky and ended up with the model with the highest output (1000 lumens advertised but realistically 600) and three modes for 20$ or less I think it’s a great edc light i carry it in my back pocket clipped and often forget I even have it

The Tool AA can also be turned off and on using the twist top. I have one that has the illuminated tail button and if you don't want it to be illuminated you can just twist the top, very handy option.

True, I find myself watching the changing colors of the tail switch. High cool factor and simple design. Have a great week!

The flashlight studio lights works well! I am know of Lumintop but I have not owned one. They had an issue a few years ago where their light went on involuntarily but that was on a larger one. Not sure what the model name was. That being said people seem to love them and flashlight people like them for their cost to power ratio. I like the Tool AA 3.0 as that's similar in size as what I have on my keys and batteries are always available and cheap. In terms of buttons vs head activation I will always go button. I have had a few of those head activated lights turn on in my pocket but I have yet to have my tail switch one activate. Could be because they force needed to actuate it is more. Who knows haha.

Flashlights are very underated as an EDC item. It's like the saying goes... Once you wear it you will find a use for it daily. I use mine all the time. You too brother! Be blessed!

Click the button 7 times quickly on the Frog and the red light turns off.

I just have a nitecore tini 2, i know its not gonna last a lifetime considering it has an integrated battery, but the runtime, the built in usb charging, the 500 lumen turbo mode in a size smaller than a matchbox in titanium casing is just hard to ignore.

That is one flashlight I have to get my hands on. Is the box shape anything that takes getting used to?

Hi. I’m trying to choose between the Silverfox and EDC15, my main issue is I want the magnetic detachment so I can use it on my keys and EDC in my pocket but may I know when the ring is still attached to the light, and its on a keychain with keys, do the keys stick to the end and bother or do they not. If they do even when the magnet is blocked by the slot thing, then I might just get the EDC15.

      @Realidealgear  Před 4 měsíci

If you have any inclination to use the magnetic base for around the house/vehicle...magnetic base. If you're reasonably certain that you'll not use the mag base and simply detach the flashlight from the keyring...go EDC15. Sometimes the magnetic based causes havoc in the pocket with other ferrous materials. I use the Silver Fox as a pocket carry and keep the keyring clip on minimizing excessive attachments.
I may go EDC15...I don't use the magnetic base as much as I thought. I've been carrying it for a couple months and I think that's a good test window.

    Excellent content!
Given your taste in mighty but mini lights you might really appreciate the Olight i1R2 eos (original). 5lm/150lm I think 6 hours on low and 15 mins on high. A tad less than that Pro but so small and powerful for the size.
Next if you can find one is the Lumintop Glow 1. Very tiny, magnetic feature, 40 lms I believe.

For me it’s all about Rovyvon. The A8 is the best keychain flashlight. Full stop. It’s powerful. Rechargeable. And has really excellent emergency sidelights.
