- This 1977 Shimpo RK2 Pottery Wheel had suddenly stopped working. In this video I figure out why, and I fix it. After the repairs, to give the wheel a good test run, I throw a large vase. Hope you enjoy!

Awesome! I got one of these a year or so ago, also a 1977, from my local high school that they gave me because it stopped working. It has exactly the same problem of the motor not engaging the wheelhead. I'm so glad that I found this and can finally fix it, as my multiple phone calls to Shimpo weren't very effective.
Thanks! I have a 1973 Shimpo. Works great but y'know...
Thanks for making this video. I have a Shimpo Aspire and it feels like it has a tiny 'jump', but I can't figure out what the heck is wrong with it.
Hey! The part number you shared shows the bushings are at a 60 angle, the ones you installed look to have no angle on them, did you experience any issues with them?
The small belt in my ring one keeps coming off while the machine is running. Not sure what to do in this case? Is it the cone? Or is it the belt? Is it the cone positioning? What should be fixed? What would you suggest? Thanks
I just found this video - and I am repairing my wheel - EXACT same model - Is there a wiring diagram available?
Subbed :) Just bought one of these for my wife an old 1981 model, great video exactly what I was looking for, this one runs but not perfect, just wanted to ask where you sourced your parts from? Thanks
Thank you, I got them from a bearings wholesale shop, I believe they are available online. Try searching for part number: RZEAB202060
thanks mate
