Host Eric Gorges visits with Lorelei Sims. Lorelei is a talented blacksmith in a mostly male dominated trade. Eric learns how to make a dagger. I loved this video. As a female woodworker it’s hard to balance family time since we have a large family, but my legacy for me is my children and grandchildren but that’s me. I so enjoyed watching Lorelei work.
Lorelei has a real talent to teaching, you could feel her love for what she does, and both of you combined with your love of working with metal, made gor a very interesting show, loved it,.
I think I found my new binge channel. Problem is, as she stated, time management is the key so I will be watching while I work on crafts of my own =))

This lady wrote the very first book I ever bought and read on blacksmithing. Now flash forward about 6 or 7 years and it's my full time business, passion, and obsession. I feel I found this video at the right time, to remind me of how far I've came and the reason why I fell in love with this craft. Thank you for all the videos you do. I would love the opportunity to interview my favorite blacksmiths.

I have my great-grandfather anvil don't know much about him but he was a blacksmith I've been forging for about 5 or 6 years now a lot of it is been trial-and-error but recently I have started studying under a very good blacksmith maybe someday I can actually say I am a blacksmith and like he says I work with my hands to feed my soul
