Definitely. I'd love to get the story on how he came about to have this derelict manor, with essentially a scrapyard of cars and a boat strewn about. There has to be quite a story behind all of it. He also knew Shane MacGowen. Must have had quite an interesting life!

Back in the 70’s and 80’s there were a lot of old lads like Martin around, some would have called them eccentrics but they were always great fun. Boys who had travelled the old world wether it be in the army or navy, been through the bad times and good, yet somehow made it out with a load of money. A bit of a dying breed now but it’s still great fun to see him on AutoAlex!!!

There’s a fair few people that live in houses like this that also have collections of old cars/vehicles/scrap. The houses are cheap to buy once they fall into disrepair, but often still have sections of the house that are perfectly habitable. They come with big gardens and various outbuildings so good for a car enthusiast. There’s at least 2 places like this not far from me. One of them is run as a scrap yard.

That bike is definitely well dodgy frame is different between an early duke and a 2017 shape so I'd say stolen especially with frame number missing. Hopefully you'll elaborate more on it.
Not necessarily. I had a moped back in the day that had the frame replaced after a crash. Had terrible trouble getting it MOT'd the first time but after it was all straightened up at the DVLA it was fine.
VIN wasnt missing but wasn't in the same place as the previous model as the frame was from a facelift version with different panels so looked as if it was missing

check for mud build up around the fuel filler pipe where it goes into the tank, it holds moisture and rots everything under it

Martin reminds me of the owner of a business that supplied where I worked. The guy was a proper eccentric, rubbed shoulders with all the bands from the 60s and 70s, had tons of stories and lived quite the life, but was absolutely minted and you wouldn’t know to look at him. Not many chaps like them left unfortunately but they’re the very best of that generation

Looked it up that's a KTM 125 Duke 2017-2020 model, well at least it's pretending to be 😅.
It does look stock, maybe they did swap the frame since it was written off. From what I can see they should be at least 2000 pounds, so fine deal I guess. 👍
