@@moscowhq9978 I actually can believe. As much as Alfa looks better and cheaper in repairs, BMW is much more luxurious. We'll see how much it will take for it to break down again lol.
@@moscowhq9978 Alfa still has a very poor image and reputation since the change in management. Italian cars are also the lowest ranking on the reliability surveys. If maintained as demanded by the manual, German cars are far more reliable, but many people do not service their cars at all, and they all fall apart

I had one of em and let me tell as beautiful as it is it's true what they say about Alfas. I had major problems nealry every month with this car and put about 3x what I paid into it before selling it

That was on a 4-year-old car between 23,000-30,000 miles. Thankfully all done under dealership used car warranty. He promptly punted it after the year warranty was up and bought a Mazda.
Fun fact - Alfa put the wrong grade of steering fluid in every 159 they made.

To be honest, I was really hoping you'd buy an Alfa Romeo 159. I personally have one, and it is truly an amazing car. Makes driving fun, handling and suspension is on point. And if you take good care of it, contrary to popular opinion, it doesn't break down at all :D
Furthermore, in Poland, 159 drivers greet each other on the road with their hand :D. True car guys, love this comminity.

The 159 is one of my favourite cars, it was great to see Alfa's getting some love. The odd GTV with the 3.0 V6 pops up for a few grand now and then that would be awesome to see on the channel! We had the Phase 3 with the 3.2L it was a brilliant engine.
How is it possible that 4 lads sat in a car going through car listings is a million times more entertaining than half the shit on TV? Bloody brilliant!!

Should've got the 159!! Fantastic cars, I just sold mine (for another Alfa) and I do miss it. 20 years on and they still look modern, gorgeous things and the handling on my 1750 ti was amazing.

I haven't got through the whole clip yet, but I own a 2010 159 ti sw in red with the revised and improved 2.0 diesel. Hoping the Alfa makes it through! Mine is an absolute motorway mile muncher - people notice this car in their rear-view mirrors and move over just to see what car it is overtaking them!

I used to have the 2.0JTDm too. Fantastic car, I had no issues with it at all, until the handbrake failed! I still miss it...
C'mon guys :) You go for an e61 because alfas are unreliable, e61 goes up in smoke the very next day. Then what? You go for another e61, because alfas are unreliable :) My daily is 2007 159 SW 1.9 jts and during 3 years and ~38000 km all it asked for was front brake discs/pads, front wheel bearing and power steering pump.
@@Costantino718 well objectively the BMW is the better car. Both are not really reliable, but the BMW is sporty AND luxurious. The Alfa is just sporty and that’s it. The interior of the Alfa is not even comparable to the BMW.
@@gruzas2956 maybe you are just lucky. In general Alfas are definitely not more reliable than an BMW. If you look it up in the internet, Alfa Romeos do make quite a lot of problems. If you are lucky you got a good one, but most of them are far off beeing reliable. It’s the same for the BMW.
Definitely should have gone with the 2.4 5cyl Alfa estate. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Very rare in Australia and sadly mine was written off after hitting a kangaroo

09:36 Chippenham is near Clarkson’s Farm? Clarkson’s Farm is in Chipping Norton, I know Chippenham and Chipping Norton sound similar but it’s about 50 miles away from Chippenham as the crow flies, 70 depending on the route you take. Aka nowhere near Clarkson’s.

the problem of BMW fanboys is that they don't consider that the Fiat engines themselves are very reliable (1.9jtd and 2.4jtd) certainly better than the N47
Very true, mine runs very smooth and you can get really good power out of the 2.4. It's soon to be at around 650nm torque and about 290-300hp

Great thing to do Alex, second car looks much cleaner. Never buy a car that is wet or in the dark, I've learnt that lesson after buying a car from a main dealer.
