Don't laugh at me people, I have at least 15 Tissue boxes. I saved them to put my socks in. I used a few, but now, thanks to Jan, I have a plan for them all.
My Mom saved everything. At least I am not that bad of a hoarder. But in her defense, she was brought up in the depression age. They all had to make do with practically nothing. She saved string from the birdseed, & dry cat food bag tops. She reused cracker boxes, baggies, foil, wrapping paper, Christmas bow's, & always used paper from junk mail, & the pharmacy, if one side was blank.

Shoebox lids work in the office drawer so you don't have to cut it down to fit.

I just make four 45 degree cuts at the corners of the tissue box and staple down the sides. Now I can use masking tapes.

Don’t throw away tall biscuit/ cookies tins. Can also keep pens, pencils, rulers and scissors.

I recycled a small delivery box to store some sewing notions on my desk shelf by my sewing machine. I covered the outside with some pretty contact paper and it's as pretty as any expensive container.

Wow, that's a neat way to use bathroom tissue rolls AND the facial tissue box! I like the new brightly colored Kleenex boxes. Imagine if using a flat box and a boutique box in the same colored for organizing things that sit on your desk. Color coordinated desk accessories without ever setting foot in an office supply store!

Another use for tissue boxes... keep in the laundry room and put dryer lint in till it's full, then use it in your campfire/firepit.

I have been doing the same with my tissue boxes for my pens, scissors, staplers etc.
Thank you for showing that I can put empty toilet rolls to stand the pens, pencils, scissors and rulers.

Btw I keep opened envelopes for writing grocery lists and short notes.
Me too with the envelopes !! LOL…. I have a whole gift bag full …I recycle whenever I can. Been keeping for years. I also use them to organize my receipts by month and clip to the paper credit card statements . My hubby has a habit of asking me for the receipt to return things like almost 6 -9 months after he bought it 🤪 . If I didn’t organize my stuff he would be SOL.
He hates email version of receipt …it’s worse trying to find it that way he says.

Good ideas, I've been using empty boxes (tissue and medicine tablet or pill boxes, particularly) as desk-tidy containers for years. The only thing I won't use is toilet roll tubes because, hey - people use them with hands that have been to the toilet...

I recycle all the time my sewing room is covered with TP rolls, Kleenex box’s, candle jars, and plastic containers from all sorts of things. I hate to throw them away cause I know I can put them to good use. We live in such a throw away society today. I was not raised that way. I also stick plastic bags in my boxes. 😅 great videos.
