Imagine even thinking of buying a Ubisoft game in 2024.
There will always be fools in this world, thus there will always be people who's gonna buy games from them. Their old games are awesome, but the new is... well ya know.
So many better titles to play. And some of them are old, and newer gamers haven't played them yet!
They keep turning a profit. So...
Some people like trash
Unfortunately, average gamers are mostly stupid, there is a reason why big series like Cod or assassin's creed getting worse every year
Because people keep lowering their standards and buying garbage stuff

2003: AAA titles cost $70
2023: AAA titles cost $70 but are 12 times larger, requiring three times the development time with four times the capital.
What the hell do you expect? Gamers are entitled little children who would get their panties in a twist if anyone suggested they paid a dollar more than they already are, every year expecting more and more out of it. Just by inflation games should cost $120+ today. Video games are vastly undervalued. The only reason they can still be $70 is because of more and different revenue streams.

To me it's just weird how people seem to be fine with it. These leeches always wanted to sell games at a higher price, so without altering the base price too much, they're going for the "Sell half the game and broken at 70$, and the other half for 70 more".
Any DLC that is planned before the game comes out, or even right when the game comes out, is content that could have been worked on to be put in the game on release, but they decided not to, and instead they sold it. True DLCs are those that get made after a game releases and people love it, making a DLC in this way gives people more content for that game without the need to release a sequel.

Congrats, they've inched in and we're at the current checkpoint where "It's just a small part of the story." (The part costs half the price of the game itself.)
Exactly, those of us who saw the writing on the wall knew it wouldn't stop there.
Ubisoft have been a shit show ever since they moved on from The Division. They are having to try and milk absolutely everything because of how badly Division 2 failed, which even led them to remove the huge free update that had been promised as the last update of the "free" battle pass (which obviously was included in the base game price so wasnt free) and told everyone that they had to pay $40 for it instead as they purposefully delayed it and released it literally 3 days after the battle pass ended. More or less as soon as this happened most people just noped out and the game died a quiet death, leaving Ubisoft reeling that the Division was still doing better than Division 2 and that they didnt have a "successful" live service game ripping their customers off. Now instead of their investors/shareholders taking the deserved hit for awful management and "vision" they simply pass the losses onto the players so that they can get their % back up.
It's amazing how many companies, recently, have been crushed under the weight of horrible management.
Personally found the setting utterly forgettable. Who the fuck even wanted a division 2?
Why can't we get new Star wars games where you make your own character and play in a setting that doesn't take place adjacent to all the same 100 year old characters?
They have a universe with limitless potential yet everything must reference the movies and original cast over and over?
Just give us completely new storylines unrelated to any star wars movie and I think that's where you'll find gamers interested in spending money.

So here's the question - if the Jabba Mission is inconsequential, why not include it in the main release????
That $40 mission better be 30-40hrs long.
but it says 'available at launch', maybe you unlock it later or end-game mission something?
The true face of Ubisoft
Ubisoft:
We would like to address the complaints, by adding more fuel to the fire.
I don't think I've ever played a game with a paywalled side mission like this where the side mission felt worth the price. That goes all the way back to Dragon Age: Origins which I'm pretty sure was the first example of this happening. So yeah, it's option B.
“Who plays every piece of side content.
I used to Ubisoft. I used to.
Just buy Helldivers2, I think it's around the price of that mission
Helldivers 2 is a buggy mess right now. The list of known issues keeps growing with every patch. The fact that you get pulled towards explosions instead of being knocked away from them just shows there's zero playtesting before updates are pushed out.
This.
It’s also GOTY….and it’s only 40 bucks.
Eat it AAA.
FR even with its issues helldivers is worth the asking price. i mean 35 quid for a game that you will basicly never have to spend more money on if u dont want to cus everything can be earned and has already prove to have good support cus in just 2 months since the games come out its had soo much more content added with soo much more on the way.
I mean put it this way you can eaither spend just 35 quid for a game with hours of entertainment that u will probs go back to or you could spend that same amount plus an extra 70 quid for the base game just to play one mission that probs is less than 1 hours worth of content that lets be honest you will probs play once if that then never even think about it again.
Ik what i would do
@@qu1253 Minor flaws, coz AAAA releases everything perfect right?
@@Jabarri74 Just because one thing is bad does not automatically elevate another. You should look at the list of known issues in the last patch. It's an absolute joke. A game releasing like this 15 years ago would have the developer out of business, yet now it's lauded as game of the year material simply because everything else is a dumpster fire by comparison.
Imagine making a Star Wars Game with No Light Sabers Force Powers Jedi Sith or Cool Bounty Hunters like Boba & Jango Fett. Then throw all the other BS thats Modern Gaming on top of it & You Get This Turd 💩
It’s literally a Far Cry shooter game but in Star Wars, Ubisoft has been pumping same shit games for years now
Same with their Avatar game, literally reskinned Far Cry Primal, just a soulless, bland, beyond boring game, they have their Far Cry game formula and they keep doing same games, 0 innovation, what a exhausting company
I don’t mind the game without any of those things. The problems is that this is literally female Han Solo. If you want female lead character, there are so many other options. They could have made a game about doctor Aphra for example. Imagine tomb raider but in Star Wars how cool would that be? But no, why bother thinking of something fun.
And let's not forget the AC games, it used to be an interesting clash of philosophies.
Now it's, "oh there's a shadowy organization doing bad things, hidden blade/broken spear go brrrrrrr"
I have always wanted a game like that ever since 1313 was shown. Once I saw this trailer, I realized that this was Farcry with a Star Wars skin.
The worst part is, these kinds of missions can just be a 10 minute romp that could easily be regular game content or, better yet, demo content.
This changes everything. Pre-order 3 copies of different versions to get full game.
And when you put all of them together you unlock the option to buy the complete complete edition.
@@szysi3k Achievement unlocked: Zombie Consumer Retardation
Ubisoft is so down bad that at this point they are not letting people own their games. I had a ubi connect account which had multiple AAAs and a month back I got a email from 'em that you have to verify yr account to continue owning my games. And I thought WTF, Ubisoft has the authority to take away my own belongings. From that point of time i just left ubi games. Really fuck 'em.
You actually believed you own anything digital?😂
@@jaideepshekhar4621 What's so funny abt it?
@@Tanishk-ot7dx That you actually believed that bs.
@@jaideepshekhar4621 You talkin like you never purchased anything from the internet, Asmon talked abt how ubi doesn't care abt their customers. So I shared my experience. Sometimes trying to understand smth would help in reducing your retardeness.
When I bought the first Star Wars Battlefront for PS4 I got an alternate game cover for the game a season pass that included Han Solo's gun for multi player and a tiny refrigerator you can put like 6 cans of pop in for like $120... Thought it was a rip-off...
So it's still an exclusive mission they just said jabba gives you other missions.
Turns out the true Hutt was the Ubisoft we made along the way (to microtransactions).
Why they can't be like real people, accept that they've fucked it up and then change it it like normal developers do
Real people usually don't admit to having made mistakes, and will just fling around excuses
They're corpo Canadians that's barely considered human
@@OWnIshiiTrollingonly really bad people to be around would do that. Decent people would admit to their mistakes. but Ubisoft is far from decent 😂
If you don't admit a mistake, it's like it never was a mistake to begin with!
Who's "normal developers"? Cause I couldn't name one.
Imagine if all guilds in Skyrim were locked behind day 1 DLC
Never pre order wait for the review
I can't stress this enough.
Please don't give your money to any companies like this... we really need a handful of giant games to absolutely tank while people make it well known on social media that it's purely because of bad gameplay and/or monetization, then we'll finally have a shot at getting good games again instead of just being treated like wallets.
people still gonna buy them, those companies will never change. you don't need those triple a game studios to "have a shot at getting good games again" because there's tons of great games being made by smaller devs and studios.
I'd be impressed with how out of touch that response was if I didn't completely expect it.
"Who plays every mission in a ubisoft game" Their entire justification for this is based on people not wanting to play the game...which is telling.
That is definitely the CEO in that image lol
vote with your money people
Asmon hit the nail on the head.If it wasnt important, they wouldnt have paywalled it. Bingo
Ubisoft is bad about putting important story elements behind pay walls though. I remember in AC Brotherhood killing Lucy and in the next game everyone was cool with it because she was apparently a Templar, something you wouldn't have known without getting a dlc. Like in Valhalla, I had no idea that the modern day protag went crazy and killed her team. It was all dlc.
@@gunguntrio1247 WHAT!? SERIOUSLY!?
@@DylanVA Her team from Odyssey, not Shaun or Rebecca. I should have clarified that.
Jabba mission has the same price as Elden Ring DLC
Saw you holding a Dr Pepper can and immediately liked
I hope this game bombs hard af. Enough with the w0keness and overpriced games. AAA is dead or it's dying very fast. No wonder people are playing 7+ older games according to articles. I highly suggest buying AA and indies right now and especially Eastern games like Stellar Blade. FF7 Rebirth was seen as a commercial failure by Squenix and the demo of Stellar Blade had double player count than Rebirth.
Worst thing is that Star Wars fans will unironically eat this up
Untrue. All the non-Disney era fans have effectively given up on SW as a franchise. They won't touch this trash because it has Kathleen Kennedy's and Bob Iger's stink all over it.
@@CloakofAuron Not necesseraly for this reason, but yeah, those two people certainely taught me to take a step back from Star Wars contents before buying them.
So... the backlash in the video is fake??
Must be nice to substitute reality for your own.
meh it's not star wars fans who have been falling for this shit for decades now, it's gamers who are the braindead morons with no self-control. And I'm not even a star wars fan, I'm just sick of what all idiots have allowed gaming to become. The journalist writing "wHo PlAyS eVeRy MiSsIoN AnYwAy!?" is the perfect example.
Star wars fans are literally the biggest criticizers of the star wars franchise
The fact that their response is anything but "We hear you and we apologize, it is now included in the base game and we've lowered the prices of the Deluxe/Ultimate" tells you everything you need to know.
Does it have a create your character feature? If so I would buy this
its the classic ultimatum of "you are either a moron or a liar" they chose liar.
