Handed in my resignation letter today. The response was a one liner “We’re sad to see you go. Will facilitate”.
    Best decision I ever made😊

Not sure why one would say “With great regret..” just seems awkwardly dishonest. But besides that; thanks for the video and help.

    "Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms. Doe,
This is notice of my resignation from [position title] at [company name] effective [date which is two weeks from the day you're turning the letter in]. I appreciate my employment at [company] and wish the team future luck.
    Sincerely,
    [Your first and last name]"
That's all there is to it.

I would also include personal consulting fees for after those two weeks are up. State that you bill X amount for answering any employee texts, calls, or emails per hour with a one hour min charge.

The typed words of resignation were fantastic. Hope I don't write them!!
    Wonderful words of wisdom!!!
    Thank you.

I was hired under a staffing agency to go and work for one of their clients as a temp employee for a year and a half. When it was time for them to close out my assignment, my boss did me the curtesy of of a two week notice rather than just abruptly ending my assignment. Even employees like advance notice that their temp assignment is closing out and I'm sure employers can appreciate the same when an employee resigns with a two week notice.

I have a little over 5 months to my contract job but there are a couple of higher up people who make it a habit to call me into there offices and scream at me. I am 64 years old and I am hard of hearing. I am a receptionist. I want to write on a resignation if they can discontinue my grant and let me go.

HR does absolutely nothing. If you go to them to let them know what you are dealing with and being treated unfairly, even though you're a good employee--they will try to get rid of you and make it so that you leave. I have worked for law firms in 30 years and extremely stressful (except for brown-nosers) and there is always an exit interview and they always ask why you are leaving. Like my manager at my last firm was the reason I was leaving as she was lying and targeting me from the very beginning. They will always believe managers and attorneys over the employee because they are perfect and will continue their negative behavior because they get away with it.

No they are not. Parakimi is absolutely right, HR always thinks about legal liabilities. If your manager doesn’t like you, you are out of luck.

@@Flymetothemah Have you worked for law firms? Because it is the most cut-throat industry. Legal liabilities? How is your manager not liking you because of their ego issues make me a liability? You must be a manager

  • @aussiedudeofthesoutheast789

What about no resignation. I had a guy at work who went away on holidays and never came back. Took the company a month before he answered his phone and confirmed he quit lol

You must've missed the point in his video. It's not about giving the employer whatever you think they deserve. It's about respecting yourself and leaving room for your employer to respect your professionalism even if it's a blue collar job
