I had went through an experience like this. It's a tough decision, but it was the right thing for me. These are really good tips. I like how clear and concise you are. This is a hard thing to go through. Thanks for covering this topic!
I'm glad you got through that :)
As a people pleaser myself, this will be difficult when the day comes. thank you!
Great advice, I have only quit a few times and I always had a plan for the exit. Never burn bridges, you never know when you will be working with them again. Every job always leaves a lesson. Thanks Van!
This is so important to not burn bridges! You never know when you’ll need those contacts later!
Yup 💯
That's smart to create videos for highly sensitive persons. This will come handy for many people!
Yes it’s important not to burn bridges when transitioning to a new job or position. Never resign by text or email! Great video!!
Great video and great advice! I just went through these exact steps last December when I quit my job. Again great advice for those who are getting ready to make that leap.
thanks for sharing Van! These tips will be insightful to those who are wanting to transition out of their jobs!
I like that you want people to make sure first, how awful it would be to not be sure and regret later! Happy to subscribe.
Loved this video ! Brought back some memories !! Thank you :)

You're so welcome, Ash!
Some companies give counter offers to make the employee stay only so they have more time to find a replacement. They then fire the employee once they find a replacement
These are excellent Van, really like this approach.
Thank you for this tip on how to resign gracefully! I agree that you should be firm on your decision because it will reflect on you when you change your decision.
Very helpful information... it's always hard to resign without causing some bumps and shake ups...
I have had to do this. Creating a transition document is really helpful. We had a complex out processing procedure at my last job and this was so valuable. Great video
Wonderful!
Grace is definitely the word for this week :) This is great advice!

This is going to be something I will use come that time. Thanks so much for these helpful tips Van!
You're so welcome, sis!
I’m self employed but this would have been a helpful video to see when I wasn’t self employed! The day I handed in my notice was the most exciting day!
Yes, how you finish and what you say afterwards about the company, shows the type of person you are. As HSPs we can become empowered by standing in grace and confidence!
I am quitting my job , because it's toxic , and i did badmouth the company . Maybe it's not a good idea , but i felt i had to , because the staffmembers and HR , didn't do their job right . I am a volunteer , so i don't have a big problem getting another job . I am at the point that i don't feel respected , so i will not give my respect to them . The only thing i will be doing is leave quietly , i don't want to say goodbye to anyone .
@@love4artnl I'm so sorry to hear about your experience xo

I really enjoyed hearing you talk about this topic that has definitely stressed me out before. Now I have a more clear idea how I should go about it. Subbed!
I'm so glad Jodie.
I agree with your advice. Thanks
You're welcome
... don't EVER give your best ideas away as you leave ... you're on the way out and just helping them get things cleaned up prior to your exit. Consider it like a high dive. You don't want to leave a splash, you want to leave with a ripple.
Thank you!!!
You explained this really well!
Agree your advice
What do I do if my boss does not want me to shut the office door behind me when I want to resign privately behind closed doors?
It's very tempting to bad-mouth a company during or after you leave, whether it's in person or on glassdoor or something, I mean there's probably be a reason for why you are leaving aside from financial means right? But yea, thanks for the reminder to keep my cool, and leave bridges unburnt
+B Y I am so glad you are keeping your cool! Yes, it’s super tempting to bad mouth a company but I’m proud that you’re taking the high road!
That is why it unions are important. Under collective barganing, you can file a grievance and have your union representative represent you to enforce the terms of the negotiated vintract.
What about if you already have another job lined up? Is it still good to ask for a recommendation?
+Kayla yes it is still good to ask for a recommendation even if you have a job lined up. You want to collect them as you gain experiences. Think about it like “review” for yelp or any service. Essentially you want your future employer to know what value you added to your previous jobs.
Hi Vanessa, this is extremely useful video as I am going to resign soonest in the future. I would like to ask what should we do if the boss refuse to accept the resignation letter during the in-person conversation? Should we just email the resignation letter straight away and serve our notice? Thanks!
Hi Shia! Thank you so much for watching and I'm glad you have found this useful. If your boss refused to accept your resignation in person, this is an opportunity for you to negotiate if there's anything you want to change - like salary, team, department. If you have fully made up your mind - which is what I advise in the video, they can't hold you, hostage, to stay in the company, and yes, sending the resignation letter to his email, copying your HR department is the course I would suggest. Best of luck!!
Its funny how this works you employer can treat you how they want and you employee you should keep it to yourself; unbelievable
I want to change the job but don't really see any new jobs that I want to do...
Why can’t we let them know about the abuse !! I was been sexually harassed I let them know
Today I'm going to talk to my president for my final exit
Goodluck! Let us know how it went!
@@imvanbradshaw still on the way
I want to resign from my job because I dont feel valued. I also don't feel like my employer trusts me to do my job
+Joette Darling I’m sorry to hear that. Have you tried talking with your employer/boss?
@@imvanbradshaw No. I think I may be the problem or part of it. I've grown complacent on the job
she is wrong
Just say you voted for Trump and rest is easy.
Depends where 😅
