- Today on the WorkBench, I am building the Dodge RAM VTS by Monogram. I picked this kit up a few weeks ago and with a little inspiration from a photo I had seen on the internet, I decided to have this build be number one of a three kit build off. Stay Tuned for the remaining two builds of this build off.

Paint looks great that trailer is kind of a pain but is a neat display case when done.
Thank You! The trailer is pretty cool but the clear cover was a paint to assemble. Thanks for watching.
Great job on both truck and trailer keep up the great job
Thanks! This actually turned out better than I thought it would.
Another nice video! Great job on the truck.
Thank You! This truck was a lot of fun to build. The only thing that I didn't like about it is the one piece body. I have a couple of projects waiting for a cab chassis setup. Things like a couple of Racer's Wedge and a camper body for starters. This one with the separate rear cab wall would be difficult to do those with. Not impossible at all, just difficult. Thanks again for watching.

Excellent build brother ❤
Thank You!
I own a 96 Indy blue with the white stripes nice build 😊
Thanks! I have a 95 2500 that is turquoise pearl and silver. Just rolled over 100,000 miles.
The truck looks real good! Pure classic!!! Love the paint job! Love the interior colors!! Just perfect!!!
Thanks! That paint took a while to perfect. I was having issues getting it thinned correctly. I am happy that it turned out good. As I mentioned in the video that I own a 1995 Ram 2500. So that gives me a little insight to the color scheme for the interior. So that was a big help. I love the style of that particular era of Dodge trucks, it is as you said, Pure classic!!! Thanks for watching!
Very cool, I remember building this kit when it was new. My guess for the car going in is maybe the new Cornet RT?
Thanks! I still have two of I think are original issue kits (Revell) in my stash. I picked this one up cheap at Ollie's and decided to put it together. You made a great guess for the car. While I do have a couple of Coronet Super Bee's in my stash that is not the car that I have chosen for this build out. So, in a way, you were really close on your guess, It is a Dodge. The full reveal will be out in a week or so. Stay tuned for that... Thanks for watching!
I want to do the same truck, but the dually version
I'd like to get one of those as well, but they are difficult to find at a decent price. I have almost all of the necessary parts except for the bed. I've been collecting these years of trucks in parts, pieces, and in whole for the last couple of months. There are a few projects I have in mind for all of them.
@Scale Auto Guys Workbench exactly. I want the chevy dodge and ford dually and I want each version different
@@buildzmodz3871 AS far as dually's go, I do have a Lindberg Nissan 4x4 dually still sealed in my collection. It's been on the shelf for quite some time. Sadly, that is the only dually I have other than the parts collection that I am acquiring.
Thank you for sharing. For the interior, was that Acrylic Paints or Enamels?
For the interior, I used gray primer for the base color and two different acrylic colors for contrast, followed by a light coat of Future floor shine, to give it a slight shine but not be over powering. I try to use acrylic paints as much as I can. Thanks for watching.
@@scaleautoguysworkbench Thank you. Enjoying your videos, tips, and education.
When did you get this kit ? I didn't know monogram made this kit. I've only ever seen the Revell kit.
I bought this kit from my local Ollie's sometime last summer. If you look at the thumbnail and all during the Intro phase of the video you can see the Ollie's price sticker still on the box. I have the Revell kit also. They are identical so you're not missing anything between the two of them except for possibly availability.
