I did the Traxxas trade up and got new engine, you can trade up that blown engine for new one The trade up program I think its like half off when you trade in your blown engine
I have done a lot of testing the tank lid on the Rustler model. Wanna know what helps seal up even the ugliest lid seals. Take your tank seal out remove that screw take it out carefully clean it and add after run oil to the underside of the plastic lid and re insert the foam lid seal back in The oil will help it seal on the top of the seal like it should. 👊😎
Gotta give that a try! I saved the old seal as I felt doing some sort of trick can fix it. On mine I felt the spring was the main problem as the lid often spilt fuel when I crashed it. Thanks for the comment!
@@haywirerc You’re welcome bro. Ya man it just hit me when I cleaned the new tank and it leaked so bad you could see the exhaust coming out the lid. Since I oiled it bam fixed 👊😎
@@haywirerc thats crazy low. Shoulda been 2-3 times that easy. You may wanna check out O.S gloe plugs. Lc3 and lc4 if im not mistaken. And horizon hobby after run oil. Common mistake, you can swap things like those. Make sure you blip it or pull the starter after a few drops go in the carb. Honestly im lost for words.
I always after ran it. I think it’s from the one way bearing not being oiled. I should of used after run to oil it before I put it in. It’s a shame as that engine was in great condition.
This is Hugh Robinson from Nitro Addictions lives. Man that took a beating lol.

The trade up program

Sweet! I’m definitely gonna do that. Inside of my crank housing is scratched so that’s gonna be nice to get a new engine.
Awewww shit man that sucks
Bashed a bit too hard in the past, this blowup was just an impending disaster waiting to happen. Rebuild it and then rip it hard again!❤😢
Chrome is Hella hard usually won't scratch the piston always takes the damage

You could use the trade in program to get a new engine. Then before you run it, rebuild it with stronger internals
Too late. I already bought new piston and sleeve and backplate. Maybe next time. Thank you for the help!
Hopefully it can be saved that sucks but totally not your fault
The same thing happened on my revo
Damn dude. Hey man i font remember but was your 454 roto start when you got it?
No had a back plate. I swapped the crank with my spare Mach .26 crack which fits all of those big block engines.
@haywirerc so if I have a rotor start the pull start should have everything I need then correct? I'm slowing learning here.
Yes the pull start and rotor start will bolt onto the backplate for the pullstart/rotor start.
Where did you get that cool looking fuel line?
They are fuel line covers by RC Raven. I bought it off of RC Ravens eBay account but they have it on their website also.
@@haywirerc awesome thank you 👍
Keychain 🤣
For when my old ass nitro slash engine eventually gives way you guys just gave me a great idea, thanks
How many gallons you put through it? I find my trx 3.3s are anout 6-7 gallons. I always go crazy
7 quarts i have written down!

I'm at 9 gal vp 20% still running strong with revo 2 yrs no issues. Have a new 3.3 on standby tho .
Usual 3.3 problems... these things just cant hold up. The quality of the metals is junk.
I agree. For the price they are overrated
