The guy saying he speaks Arabic is so irritating and is either ignorant of the language or disingenuous. Here are 3 quick points about his claims:
1- He said the verse says he will purify him and then embellished it by adding "from what they did to you", but he conveniently left out the actual words that the Quran uses to complete the sentence, which says "from the disbelievers". That's the first lie.
2- He said la and ma are different, and since ma is used, it's not an absolute negation. This claim is absolute BS. This is a past tense verb, and negating such a verb only works with ma, not la. His claim is nonsense.
3- He said the Quran says he didn't die on the cross and says nothing about if Jesus was actually put on the cross. The word used in Arabic, "salaboo", does not mean to die on the cross; it means to be put on a cross. If he properly knew Arabic, he should know that.
Edit: when he quoted the verse about Joseph, it became apparent to me he's not knowledgeable in either the Quran or Arabic...

The 'Maa ما ' used in Arabic is for past tense. The sentence is in the past tense. So I don't know why the guy in the green vest is talking about لا which is used in the present tense.
Changing the words of Allah and His messenger is a classic sign of misguidance.

Form Language grammar we can’t say
لا قتلوه it is wrong
Both ما and لا are used to deny something
لا is used with for future
Like لا تاكل
Which means don’t eat. If you want to deny the action of any eating happened yesterday or previous you use ما not لا.
You will say ما أكل which means he did not eat.
So what this bother is saying - with all respect- does not make any sense and completely wrong.
ما قتلوه
means they did not kill him .. any young boy if you asked him what does it mean he will till. Let alone if you look at the context- the previous verse and the verse afterwards
The word ما : comes before a past tense verb, and means "did not". The word. لا: comes before a present tense verb, means " not/ do not/is no".
Both words negate a thing. So I don’t know what this guy is arguing about.

The Lebanese brother agrees with the Ahmadī in that Īsa (peace be upon him) was on the cross but somehow didn't die.
When the Qur'an clearly says (in Surat-en-Nisa', Ayah 157):
﴿وَقَولِـهِـم إِنَّـا قَتَلـنَا المَسِيحَ عِيسَىٰ ٱبنَ مَريَمَ رَسُولَ ٱللّٰهِ وَمَا قَتَلُـوهُ وَمَا صَلَبُـوهُ …﴾
“and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him-…”
Bear in mind that ٱلصَّلبُ (crucifixion) implies death, but one can be called ‘crucified’ even though he didn't die yet.
According to that linguistic explanation, if you say that Īsa (peace be upon him) was on the cross then you are in a direct contradiction with the Qur'an.
Concerning the use of لا (negation device) and ما (another negation device, in the context we're speaking with); I doubt that the Lebanese brother has adequate knowledge of فُصحَىٰ (classical) Arabic language and grammar so that he could make this claim.
I have enough knowledge in the subject to say that he is incorrect in requiring the use of لا instead of ما to give the meaning that we understand of the Ayah.
Moreover, explaining the Qur'an yourself without the proper understanding of language, context, the explanation of our prophet (his Sunna, peace be upon him) is very risky to one's life and hereafter; so do be careful with that, and always consult the people with sufficient knowledge on any subject.
Tip: if in doubt, always refer to the well-known, reputable Tafāsēr (the documented explanations of the Qur'an) like Tabarī's and Ibn Kathēr's.
